Very pleased for you!

Please do update us on what exactly you did to avoid this latest tax demand.

Cheers

Congratulations

2 fingers to the establishment!!!

As reported by the Police Federation, it appears that a lot of cases are dropped.

Hopefully any form of contest = case dropped!! I'm sure they will tighten up though, with all the tax they are collecting

Nice one for avoiding the points n'all...but...unless I misunderstood your post, your told them a) you weren't anywhere near the location the car was snapped, and b) the car has in fact now been sold. These are both quite easily verified by the BiB so I hope for your sake that they are in fact the case...!

They don't have to verify where you really where.
They simply have to ask you (on oath) in Court and if they think you are lying they will find you guilty (and maybe charge you for perjury which carries a jail sentence )

Probably easier than you might think...buy anything with a credit card? Get any cash out? Go anywhere near a CCTV camera? (the answer's "yes", by the way :-)

Big Brother most definitely *is* watching you...

this is why i wrote that "my diary tells me" line.if it gets really sticky, then you could allways say that although it was marked in your diary to visit someone, you perhaps never went after all!(it was quite a while ago,and we dont all have photographic memories) lets get things into context here, there chasing a £60 fine, not ronnie biggs or the like.as long as you only make suggestions, and not sworn statements in writing, then you can allways re-consider if they do bother to go to such lengths as your suggesting, after veiwing the differing photographic evidence.though id think it unlikely for a straightforward £60 nip!
