Just noticed that that nice Mr Firman has a 993 on his website which was once owned by a certain Mr N Faldo who I understand is a golfer of some repute !!

Was this the one that his wife beat the sh*t out off with a 7 iron when she found out he had been playing on "a golf course which he shouldn't have !!"

Just wondered !!

Proper red as opposed to a moroon/burgundy red.

Incidently Gantspeed's stand at last years Annual Porsche club event (Eynsham Park/Hall?) had a burgundy 959 on it. The car was with them for road preparation following a period in storage, it was one of the original development cars and the very, very, very nice man showed us around the car including lifting the hood etc. Even discussed the cost of spares. Unfortunately running costs were out of my league although one person (contributing to this thread funnily enough) was thoughful enough to keep suggesting I PX the 996tt against one.

I had a ride in a Burgundy 959 several years ago - the guy who distributed Zymol (that name always sounds like a Nazi nerve gas to me) owned it. Had a cream interior IIRC

The Red 959 that was modified by Mrs Faldo was sold by Autoclassica last year.

Actually Gant speed are one of the friendliest set ups I’ve dealt with. A couple of years ago I came so close to doing a deal on a flachbau (sp) 965 unfortunately I just couldn’t get rid of the offending TVR in time to laying my paws on the beast.

Nice to able to report happy dealings with an independent even if not successful.

This Maroon one seems to permanently live at Reading, it seems it's been there for ever... I have a pic i can show of it sitting in a corner behind a Black Carrera GT if anyone will host the pic for me.

Nah cheap as chips. The front pads and disks are identical to a 944 Turbo S
