Great drive!

I had to go to Holland yesterday, miserable trip with rain a lot of the way. Woke up this morning - Sun shining so off with the lid, and cruised at a steady 100ish all the way back from Dutch/German border to Calais - would have gone faster but had the rev limiter with me! For some reason the roads over there were almost deserted.

Only problem I had was a worrying overflow from the expansion tank when I parked on Le Shuttle. I checked the levels when I got back to UK, and everything looked OK, so have assumed that the S got a liitle warmer than usual and dumped a little excess coolant. Temps never exceeded an indicated 90 though.

Oh and the other problem was that the clock has decided to redefine the second to suit itself and has given up keeping accurate time. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, and whether it is connected in any way with the fluctuating speedo?

My clock is slow. I have to adjust it every 3rd day and move it on about 4-5mins.

There is no adjustability on the back either on mine !

When I say inaccurate - like 1/2 an hour in an hour!

My clock used to lose anything from a few minutes to a few hours every time it was left alone. Don't know exactly what 'fixed' it, but since cleaning all the earths and replacing the ignition connector it's been fine.

Nothing to worry about, the clock has just reverted back to 'Blackpool time'.

Thanks Pete - I guess I'll have to get in amongst the wiring to see if I can find the problem.

Jas - better than Blackpool time - I can now honestly respond to the question from Plod - 'do you know you were going a hundred miles an hour?'
