Any AOL users who have emailed me, I'm afraid I'm unable to respond.

AOL now bounce all emails from PH and I've yet to establish what new technical criteria they've introduced which PH is not conforming to. In the meantime it would appear that they are bouncing all system generated and personal email to AOL users.

AOL also do the same for many eBay generated emails.

Cue negative feedback from both buyers and sellers claiming the other party habitually ignored their emails.

Was the problem I was having with the site trying to download also related to AOL? That problem was very prevalent on Saturday, but went away last night.

I did in fact get a standard email from PH last Friday I think it was.

I will see if I can find out from someone on the technical team at AOL what technical hoops you have to jump through to get email to AOL members.
Mind you I wouldn;t be suprised if a number of members of Pistonheads have reported the new email etc as Spam as its so easy to do, when they should have amended their profile here to stop it in the first place!

Incidenntially the plus side of the latest AOL efforts to get rid of spam is that I get much less spam!

I seem to recall that earlier this year AOL published figures that they were blocking something like 2 billion spam emails a day! Thats a heck of a lot of traffic!

I have found a document detailing what criteria AOL require you to meet to talk to your email server (different from everyone else out there of course!).

I'll work on those and see if that solves the problem.
