It's not left to die. It just needs some air in the tyres,

and a few gentle taps with a hammer to win Restoration of the Year 2020 at the Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards:

Have a look at the awards video (link starts at Restoration of the Year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg40C0RxL70&t=...

I think the old Consul Capri(?) has been pictured recently, maybe in the cool classics spotted thread. I recognise the Telstar sticker.
Is it not the one on Coronation Road in Bristol?
Yes it is.

That Consul Capri has been there for decades. The Mark 3 Capri next to it has been there almost as long.

(Edited for correct mark of Capri)

Starsky and Hutch stripe on the Mk3 Capri?

Edit - got me searching... from its glory days?

Ouch at the unfortunate shape of the stripe but its better than this one..

Always liked the Mk2 grill on a Mk3 though..

Only the Marina Coupe could rock a Starsky stripe. Or a 2 door Avenger, but they were rocking horse poo even in the 70s.

Coronation Road has now been renamed to Corona Road.

I pass by quite regularly and someone has been creative with tip-ex smile

Mate of mine at Uni (Essex boy) had one of those with the tiniest steering wheel I've seen this side of a kart.

I've asked over on BB forum to see if someone there can ID this, fished out from the Grand Union canal.

It had done 133k miles in 2012 - It didn't look too bad, but it guess it's a right mess underneath. Not much surface rust really.

That doesn't appear to have been there long. Maybe a stalled project that's been rolled out of the way.

All 4x center caps were in the boot which was open - which makes me think you are correct. I've only been walking this route for a few months and it's been out all the time. Looks too neat around the rear lights and inside isn't too bad.

Dolphin centre caps must be quite rare, MK1 MX5 BBS caps go for 500+ for all four... Or more.

The scoot from the previous page is one of these... Biker knowledge came through;

- Vespa small frame, looks to have a square headset that would make it a 50 Special.

Large frame. Rear wings are not detachable on the small frame.

When I was growing up in the 70s, we used to ride scooters that looked like that on the fields at the back of our house. One lad (we were about 13-14) had a Royal Enfield, and another had a 175 Bantam ... funny what you remember.
