[quote=NRS]Some really nice bottles there! Is the wooden box Glengoyne the current SC they have on sale for the last few years? And are the Bowmore Feis Ile all the same version, or did you get all 3? And which Tobermory/Ledaig is in the box?!

Cheers, yeh it’s the 15 single Sherry cask I think they sold out of them late last year. The bowmore’s are all 11 yo 2017 feis Iles didn’t manage to get any of the older years so hopefully get the rest of them over the next few years.

The Tobermory is the 14 yo port pipe cask finish.

I have the Glengoyne too - I managed to pick it up in auction about £40 cheaper than at the distillery which was nice! Had not see they had sold out.

Ah! I have been thinking about picking up one of the port pipe bottles. Prices seem to be quite strong compared to many Tobermory bottles.

Just got round to trying the Arran Amarone cask finish, all I can say is spectacular!!! Initial sweetness gives way to cherry and caramel, deep, rich and luscious with a slight bitter toffee finish, an absolute joy!!!!

Just got round to trying the Shackleton I bought a while ago, first impressions are not what I was expecting, it's lighter than I thought not too much sweetness and a slightly medicinal after taste, overall it's not too bad but not special.

Great visit to Glengoyne today, we did the warehouse no.1 tour with us finishing with 2 x 200 ml bottles of a 2002 Puncheon Cask 60.1% (Right) and a 2004 Bourbon Cask 56.7%(left side) plus other goodies being the gift collection 200ml of 12/15/18 and the 21 year old for special occasions!!!

Funnily we turned up to the Forest Hills Hotel and ended up in the Glengoyne Suite!

As a fan of IPA I bought this. Decent enough.

Trip through duty free ended up picking up a few bottles. Anyone tried this?

Also by pure luck managed to get my hands on these. I’ve tried the portwood but not Madeira.

The Classic Laddie is decent. One of my favourite bottle designs too.

Been a while since updating here. Probably going to be some sideways pics as it is from my phone! Currently in hospital waiting on a friend after they seem to have dislocated their shoulder skiing.

Had this last night for whisky day while planning today's trip.

A week or so ago was at Trondheim whisky festival and tried a few local tipples.

First up was the first arctic whisky ever. They will release 10 bottles for sale soon of it from when it was 3 years and 1 day. More to come when it is old enough to be 'proper' whisky. Very nice of it's age.

This is from a distillery that opened further north (Lyngen) a bit after the one above. Still not whisky.

Another young one, this time from Myken again. Interesting to see the differences.

Had a few other more normal Scottish whisky - forgotten for the moment though.

Finished off with a Glenfiddich vertical. 12yo, 15yo, IPA, XX, 21yo rum cask, plus a break down of it by tasting a cask sample 21yo (not commercially available) and the rum from the casks they use.

This was on offer in Waitrose, so as I'm always looking to try different whiskies and I've not had anything from Canada before...

...and it's rather nice. Quit sweet with a caramel & rum taste (not unexpected from a rum finish biggrin) and slightly syrupy.
Quite a lot of it could be consumed this weekend.
