Hi Peeps,

I need some advice, I was travlling home from London down the M4 last night about 1am and had to detour to avoid the closed raised section. So when I got on the motorway proper I opened it up and was cruising at about 100mph indicated. There was not much else on the road, and I was wide awake.... I noticed a Marked trafpol on a raised section and immeadiately slowed down. As I passed I noticed a red light in the drivers window, but the car did not come and get me. My question is, am I too expect a NIP through the post?
I'm feeling sooo guilty.... It was one of those momentary lapses....
Thanks in advance...
Cheers

Could be a reflection from an internal light on equipment?.

Ninetyeight percent you may well have been lucky. Nothing by last post 29th and you can wipe your brow.

No wife I'm afraid.... Doubt my flat mate would take the rap....

DWD, I don't know if it was a reflection, my question would be I suppose, do the trafpol's have handheld equipment that can be used in evidence? I thought they had to back it up with a measured reading from another source (vascar)?
I'm not trying to get out of this, I was stupid enough to do the speed, I'm just confused as to whether I was caught or not...
Cheers

1am... Don't do many evenings....

I wouldn't worry about it mate...At 1am on a quiet motorway, a car would be unlikely to be there as just a speed taker...for the sake of it...

If they thought you'd been speeding they'd have come after you and stopped you...

Imagine the egg on face with the potential:

The registered keeper of a vehicle has it stolen at midnight on a certain day. A police car sees it at speed on a motorway a hour later and just reports it on summons without attempting to stop it............

Nay....100% confident you'll be ok mate..

Stay safe...

Hmmm, didn't think of it that way...!
I think I'll fit a speed limiter to the ZT and leave it to tow the Go Kart.... Shame though the ZT is a fantastic drivers car.

Thanks for your advice Street Cop I appreciate it!
