I'm another who'd buy it in a heartbeat if there were a paper copy, I have neither time nor interest in any sort of electronic reading device.
Derek...... take a look at lulu.com, I helped my Uncle publish his novel through there a couple of years ago and it is so,so simple and it opens up a whole new market.
Happy to help you get it there if you wish?
Thanks for the info and especially the offer, Derek.Derek...... take a look at lulu.com, I helped my Uncle publish his novel through there a couple of years ago and it is so,so simple and it opens up a whole new market.

Someone else suggested Lulu earlier on in the thread and I did a bit of investigation. However, it would appear that whilst I have it listed on Amazon Kindle I cannot publish it in paper. Yesterday I received a marketing email - I write SEO copy for Wizemail.com and subscribe to 20 or so email marketing lists for research (ideas) - from Amazon and top of the list was Both Sides of the Force. I would assume the recent PH generated activity (thanks, guys) sparked this. So now would not appear to be the time to pull it.
By the way, Derek, have a look at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19275450

Derek, not sure where you found that info, I've just looked at the Lulu support forums and there are lots of people listing on both.... maybe worth another look?As for the name thing, I'd not seen that before so thanks!

Great news, but no more than you deserve, Derek - you put the work into it. For those without a kindle who want to read Derek's book, here is a link to the app that lets you read it on your PC.

Or, or, you could PM me for a .pdf.
Just finished this too and it's testament to the quality of writing that the feeling of helplessness and frustration come across strongly in the final few chapters.
I found myself getting angry on your behalf just reading it but can't really imagine what it must have been like to experience it first hand.
Well written Derek!

Bump.
Been reading it on the beach today, and enjoying it. Kindle says I am about 57% through and the cynicism is starting to really show !
Certainly some good quick witted stuff I love ("peas of a knife" etc)
Thanks for the comment. Glad you are enjoying it. I was only 20% through my service when cynicism began to set in.Been reading it on the beach today, and enjoying it. Kindle says I am about 57% through and the cynicism is starting to really show !

Ooh, I'd love to read this, but I don't have (or have any inclination to buy) a Kindle.
If I buy it and download it to my PC, is there any way I can read it on my computer instead?

Every cloud has a silver lining Ipads are good - but Kindles rule for reading.

Just finished this - bloody excellent.
without trawling the whole thread, was it ever made available in pdf?
I would like my Dad to read this (ex-copper) but a Kindle etc is too much for him (well it's different isn't it? ).
