All! My appologies in advance, for I feel the need to re-post my version of the "Mikado". (Sorry, G & S)

Sung by Capt Gatso, the Lord High Executioner:

As someday it may happen that an answer must be found
I've got a little list
I've got a little list

Of Scameras throughout the land that should be burnt to ground
They never would be missed
They never would be missed

Like Gatso and Truvello, Traffipot and Specs
Speedmaster, Monitron, Marom TLSS
An' those Bastards that invent them, yes I mean the bloody Techs
They'd none of them be missed
They'd none of them be missed

And don't forget "Do Gooders" always on the make!
Transport 2000, L.a.r.s.o.a. and Brake
I've got them on my list
I've got them on my list

You may put them on the list
You may put them on the list
And they'd none of them be missed
And they'd none of them be missed

Christian Road Safety? and those at Living Streets?
I've got them on my list
I've got them on my list

Then there's all those troublemakers, domiciled at Downing St
What IS it that they DO all day?
I'd give them all what for
They too are on my list
They too are on my list

"Safety" groups, Campaigners and Numpties 'cross the land
And camera Pratts like Ste Callagan, It's getting out of hand
Oh an' that Richard Brunstrum chap who in Wales is always pissed!
They'd none of them be missed
They'd none of them be missed

You may put them on the list
You may put them on the list
And they'd none of 'em be missed
And they'd none of 'em be missed

Ahh! I feel better now!

Yeah but we both know cameras dont stop them they cause them if anything.

Lets not get into muppetry here...they don't cause them....no way in this world...

Cameras replaced BiB and policies that would have prevented some of them. Therefore cameras cause crashes.

Cameras and the threat of cameras distract drivers from the road ahead. Therefore cameras cause crashes.

Cameras cause good road safety messages to be replaced with "speed kills" garbage. Good road safety messages would have saved lives. Therefore cameras cause crashes.

I've got lots more if you need more.

What seems to cause them..is people thinking they are Colin McRae to either impress their birds, their mates or because they are late getting somewhere...and drive like absolute tools...

Then again....when the public only see/hear/read what the media gives them....what can I or you expect..?

Perhaps if everyone started telling the truth, then some of those idiots would be better informed?

Are you talking about cameras or coppers??????????

I'm talking about coppers....

My force after 2am has on average 3 traffic cars (2 x bobbies in each) for the entire county!!!!

So if we have a bump on the motorway.....it takes at least 3 cars to deal with it...

If we have a fatal....we are really pulled out...

Then of course...you've got travelling criminals to deal with.....drink driving campaigns....

and of course assisting beat officer with any pursuits etc...

Not good enough for the public.....4-6 traffic officer for the entire county between 2am and 7am..

Unless we are talking about Rutland, it is laughable. You cannot actually do *anything* really.

I'm really intrigued as to what Policemen are actually doing. The figures for "policemen" in my county are ridiculous given the number of policemen who are actually doing anything very much. Even allowing for shifts, sickness etc etc etc and that some people will be in the "sit on our arses and spout some vacuous drivel" units and so on.

yep...perhaps you should have joined the force and either found out or 'made a difference'..

But you are probably too good to join the police...sorry for mentioning it...
