BTW, what I posted has absolutely nothing to do with politics, and everything to do with right and wrong, so is ideal for this forum.
True, and you have contributed the consistently wrongCan't get wronger than this-

The wording is important as stated by others and irrespective of your intent but one interpretation could be
- I'm resigning
- I want to work three months notice
One interpretation of the sun rising in the east and setting in the west is that the sun goes around the earth. Doesn't make it right, it's just one interpretation.- I'm resigning
- I want to work three months notice

Which bit of my post is wrong as it pretty much sums up the exact situation? Jonsv8 said:

For clarity, and you two seem to be blinded to this, reasoned explanations of what may have happened is different to whether its lawful or fair. Most of us are not taking sides but commenting on how we see the evidence. The opposite to your view is not that of employee hating mill owners but ones that look at the facts and make a reasoned argument. Most of us freely acknowledge the OPs intentions and have stated such - but it doesn't change what he actually did and how it was received.
Best friends support you through thick and thin. The best advice comes from those with a balanced outlook,

Which pretty much rules you out, I'm afraid. Maybe it rules me out too. I expect everybody who has posted on this thread believes they have a balanced outlook, but only some of them are right.Quite honestly I don't think it's worth arguing about any more, no-one here is going to change their views on this.
I wish there were a way to subscribe to receive thread notifications only when the OP contributes, so those of us hoping to learn of the outcome don't have to wade through all the pointless conjecture, nit-picking and bickering that these threads seem to provoke (and the whiny forum feature requests )

It's the war bunker all over again. 9mm said:
If the OP's initial opinion is vindicated you may expect a (gloating) update.
In most other situations you will hear nothing.
Once the OP started talking about getting quality employment law advice over the BH weekend I was pretty sure where this would end.
I think the OP knew his intentions and where it would end before his first post - when he thought up the title of the thread. In most other situations you will hear nothing.

Singlecoil, if you actually did have that sense your post count would be a fraction of what it is today!
I don't think this is an issue where posters should be polarised into 'camps' despite Robin's attempts or one which would naturally have consensus anyway.
I've posted here to help the OP and hopefully convince him to gain legal advice, especially about the covenant issue.
