Speed Camera's - Gillingham, Kent

Chaps - did something silly last night. Went out to see my other half in Gillingham, and didn't take the Origin B2 with me! Was driving down the Medway tunnel road at about 20.00pm, towards Rainham, and got flashed as i went through the lights just before Dagenham motors.

Thing is, I'm pretty damned sure that the flash came from in front......it was quite blinding in fact. i was doing 50mph, and it's a 40mph limit. Question is, I thought all the forward facing camera's (Truvelo etc) used infrared flashes??? When I went home again, I looked at the site, and it's a rear facing Gatso type camera - couldn't see a forward facing one....and then suddenly wondered if it had been from the back and reflected in the mirror making me think it was from in front. Does anyone know the area well enough to tell me? Hoping it was the gatso on the other side, going off at another driver!! Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry there's a gatso on the central reservation about there which they have a habit of spinning round to do cars going either way. Can't say for sure which way its pointing today but I've got to go down that way later, I'll have a look.

Hi Mel and Parrot.....thanks for your responses.

Mel - if it's the camera I'm thinking of (the only one I could see when driving back the other way), then it was covering the opposite side of the road, and went off either through malfunction or another car on the opposite carriageway. That's what I'm hoping anyway!!
