I put a kids sticker over the EU symbol on my old cars,no way Im having that st on my car.Present cars dont have it but I'd do it again.
So rather than spend twelve quid on a pair of legal plates without the EU symbol, you'd rather have illegal plates AND look like a dick...?So rather than spend twelve quid on a pair of legal plates without the EU symbol, you'd rather have illegal plates...?

Fella I work with has his footie teams badge on his personalised plate ( which includes the 3 lettered name of his teams ground) a shrine to his team and an unfortunate event on his parcel shelf and gold stars for the amount of cups or something that the team won on his dashboard
Does this sort of display not encourage vandalism from supporters of rival teams?I have just been reading about one town (though it IS in Scotland, which may explain it!) where anything green (even traffic light glass!) is attacked!

Now that is definitely worthy of inclusion on the Council thread REALIST123 said:
Good to know you're doing something useful with your time............
Standard boring response. It is a useful use of our time as they are illegal. Believe it or not, part of being a police officer means you deal with offences.... Including illegal number plates. Being part of the traffic department means we enforce traffic laws and probably more so than a regular police officer. If people stuck to the laws and regulations with number plates then maybe we could be doing something more constructive. You'd also be amazed at how many no insurance, no driving licence and drink drivers you get just from a stop to speak to someone about their number plate.

I actually feel reassured that Police do pull people for the littelist things. If i spend my time and money making sure my car is road legal then people who don't should be pulled. Saying that i do still get nervous if a Poilce car sits behind me for too long haha :-) If people stuck to the laws and regulations with number plates then maybe we could be doing something more constructive. Exactly. If you are not pro active going out stopping people, you will never find the drink/drug drivers, wanted people or unearth more serious offences.
Mis spaced number plates are a particular problem at the moment and will always results in a £100 fixed penalty.
Things such as these...
Why people think they look good i'll never know!

And what's worse is that he's actually gone out and paid good money for that plate.Why people think they look good i'll never know!
<thinks>
X is personal export, right? <quick google> But only XA-XF. So does that make XH available as a DVLA-sold plate? Doesn't that make the X-for-eXport a bit... confusing?

I have a little PH smiley on mine over the top of the stars of the EU flag which is above the GB on the plate.
Legal? No idea but likely not.
Never once been asked about it by any bib, even ones who have very definitely had a good look at the reg plate!
If you didn't have the sticker, you wouldn't have had any bib having a good look at the reg plate in the first placeLegal? No idea but likely not.
