Beat me to it! Why does the left turn arrow point to the unpainted tarmac?There is no left turn arrow. There's a diverge arrow. Which shouldn't be there imo, as the white line is solid up to the give-way line.
It looks as though the solid line may have been extended, having previously been dashed at the roundabout approach. That's the only way the diverge arrow makes any sense being there. Either way, it shouldn't be there with the other markings as they currently appear to be and should be burnt off.

That's worse than those 10ft long cycle paths that the pedal power guys drag out of the woodwork at every argument.
There's no logical reason for a solid line and not dotted to the end of the road, unless the bus also had a filter left into the next road. We can see clearly, that isn't the case.

The solid white line signifies the bus lane so it goes all the way to the give way line and then continues the other side of the r/bout.
Cars cannot enter it.
If you want to turn left and there's a bus in the lane next to you just wait until it has passed you on the nearside. Then you can turn.

Tin foil hat on and at risk from being shot down, but traffic in a bus lane does not have priority when the bus lane ends, they should give way - at least that is what I was told this week on a Minibus training session. Therefore any vehicle in that bus lane should wait for the outside lane to be clear before proceeding. However in this instance any traffic intendind to turn left from the outer lane would be a braver man than me to put that into practice!!
The bottom line is that this is a crap piece of highway signage/designation. Someone who was paid to plan this should know better.

Yep. If you move the streetview position onto the roundabout, then there's one spot which is still showing older imagery by default, and in this you can clearly see the bus lane markings were indeed as you've described... Should probably therefore also be visible in the desktop version of SV using the historical imagery option, but currently on mobile so can't confirm this. Lopey said:

I think that's the right thing to do because the green lane, the solid line and the arrow are not consistent. I expect it's a budget problem although I don't understand why they have extended the solid line.I'd expect the appeal adjudicator to side with the driver if anybody has been prosecuted since they always seem to if there is unclear signage.
