I wonder if their signage is compliant.

Yes they certainly can. They did too.
They are nothing new, loads of them all over the country, if your paying to put a box and power in it makes sense to multi function them

Ok well there is a 40 mph speed camera on the toneway but the standard 30 sign just before the camera shows no speed camera so have the complied with signage rules for it to be used as a speed cam
There are no rules about signage for speed cameras.

There is a rule about speeding though...

It can be combined with a red light camera to enforce speed on the green phase. there was a very famous one near to me which generated a huge amount of revenue. The green light bit was eventually set to a huge amount over the speed limit as even the Police and Council were embarrassed.

Hardly any accidents at that spot, the camera was hated and they knew it, generated a stack of cash, accidents where cameras were switched off fell, yet the only reason it was removed was due to budget cuts?

Says a lot about the vultures involved. A common tale.

These have been around since the introduction of Monitron (Speedcurb?) type cameras to the area ~10years ago?

The Camera on the A38 Gloucester Road North (Filton College)/ Filton Avenue Junction is one...

They list a camera as redlight on their website
They'll also have a disclaimer for the website somewhere saying "don't rely on the accuracy of the information on this website".
This disclaimer on the very link he gave:-

NB: These maps are meant to be a rough guide to the camera location and may not always be 100% exact. Please also note that mobile sites can be up to 2km in length, and a mobile enforcement vehicle is able to park anywhere within the site where it is safe to do so, and may not necessarily park at the same location every time; therefore, we cannot plot a definitive point of the enforcement location.

This holes bay road camera in poole is very local to me...

Everyone moaning about drivers paying more attention etc, if you go through these traffic lights at 31mph and they change to orange as your going through... Thats 3 points.

But ofcourse all of you saying drivers who speed deserve it always do 30mph everytime in a 30mph zone, ofcourse.

.
3 points for speeding? or jumping a red light? Because neither of those sound like anything that can happen.

That wording susgested to me, in relation to a fixed camera is the location is not 100% accurate not the type of camera.

There are rules if they wish to recover their costs, which they do. Even if they they dont follow them, it does not effect the tickets issued.

Well, if I was nicked by a camera THAT obvious, then I'd certainly deserve everything I got, and I'd take it without whinging.

The driver knew it was a camera and the webiste confirmed it was redlight as it had been for year! No speed camera sign on the stretch so the driver was worried about being caught on a red , not speeding as they stated on their website we was a redlight camera.

Those rules were scrapped ages ago.
