Mr Mckeague turned right into a loading bay area, known as the "Horseshoe", behind Greggs, at 03:25 BST.
The area is closed off by buildings and the rooftops have been searched and analysed by police.
It has been proven that an individual cannot leave the area on foot without being seen on CCTV, but Mr Mckeague was not caught on camera again.

Only thing I can possibly think of is that he's gone into the alleyway and fallen asleep in a bin (article says he'd previously been sleeping elsewhere) and may not have woken up/gotten out in time before the rubbish was collected in the morning?
Bin was too light according to the sensor. Though the phone would appear to have been in the bin, so it's possible the scales were wrong. Sewers?

What chance the bin scales being wrong?Sewers?
Or his phones in the bin but he's somewhere else? Over the roof?
Or has he climbed onto the bin truck to get a lift back?

You'd presume the police have checked and verified the accuracy of the bin scales but it's an amazing coincidence that his phone pinged towers that match the route of the bin lorry and ends up at a landfill site.
I don't think I could see past that coincidence personally, even if he wasn't in the bin itself, was his phone and if it was, why?
How easy is it to search a landfill site? Are records kept of where each load is deposited?

The bin lorry is odd.
Phone ends up in an area near to landfill, bin lorry follows same pattern of movement yet landfill isn't searched simply on the basis that the scales read too low.
Not easy to do I imagine but surely having a poke around for the phone would help?
Unless we're not being told everything??

If he was a missing doctor, would you have posted the thread in the "Medical" forum?
If he had been a missing chef, would you have posted the thread in the "Food" forum?
I think you might get a better response in the general News forum as it is, essentially, a story about a missing person - irrespective of their occupation.

Yes probably - especially as its been in and out the news so long - it does seem we're not being told somethingIf he had been a missing chef, would you have posted the thread in the "Food" forum?
Surprised too that Honington is still active
Leave it here for a day or so then move across?

You do wonder just how much the public/families are told, there may be lots that isn't in public knowledge just yet. It is intriguing that they are still searching for possible witnesses;http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-38254...
Mind you, a bit like with that homosexual serial killer that was jailed last month it's not completely unheard of for police to make some apparently glaringly obvious errors in an investigation.

I read the BBC article this morning and when I read that they didn't check the lorry or landfill I was shocked - that seemed like such an oversight!
so obvious as if they know something else?Suppose he's tagged a lift on the lorry, jumped/fallen off but left his phone on it? How much checking have they done along the route?
How long did the phone stay at the landfill site before the battery ran out half day later? or did it lose signal straight away?
Are we sure he's an airman or a special forces gone underground?

I read this article this morning, and it was immediately obvious what has happened to the poor chap, if what's included in the article is correct.
Why the police haven't searched the landfill is beyond me.
ETA
I once watched a programme and part of it was where a person died in a hit and run I think, the police knew the car that hit them was e.g a white Volvo model , so they told every police force and checked every single Volvo of that model in white across the country until they found the one involved, something along those lines.
They aren't scared to undertake large searches, so why haven't they in this case?

Wouldnt be the first time someone has slept in a bin and gone n the lorry. Anyway why did the lorry go to the tip if the contents only weighed 30kgs?
Thinking about it the lorry has a ability to weigh its lad I assume, and t must be weighed at the tip too I assume, for landfill tax reasons.
