Do you really think that? It may be safe but everyone knows the M25 has speed cameras. To do over 100mph when your job relies on having a licence then come on a forum and cry about it seems pretty daft to me.
100mph should be no big deal on the M25.100mph is no big deal on the M25.
It only becomes a nuisance if one of those tiresome cameras takes a picture.
Those tiresome cameras mean slowing for gantries if doing 100mph.
Fact.
The OP got caught by one.
He came on here for some advice.
He got some advice.
Then predictably some of the usual suspects started telling him off.
Fact.
Why and what are those doing the telling off gaining from this behaviour?
Is there a point?
And how do you know the OP was crying?
He took a risk, it didn't pay off so deal with the consequences.

Am in a 'usual suspect' by any chance? I am just pointing out the stupidity of his actions. I love driving fast like anyone but whether you or I think 100mph is fine on the M25 is a moot point. There are cameras and there is a penalty for being caught. The risks are pretty obvious.

People don't come on here to be told off for the " stupidity of their actions ", They come on for advice about what to do next when they're in trouble. I just don't get this holier than thou attitude regularly displayed on here now, either help him with the advice he's asking for, or don't post, it's not difficult is it?He took a risk, it didn't pay off so deal with the consequences.

100mph on most roads is breaking the law.
The risk of doing so, when you need your licence for your job etc is a bit daft, especially on a road known for having plenty of speed enforcement.
Quite simple really.

I agree 100mph is breaking the law, and I doubt the OP would argue with you either, yes it is a bit daft to do so when you need your licence and I am inclined to think the OP knows this too, but how does pointing out the fking obvious help the OP or answer his question ?The risk of doing so, when you need your licence for your job etc is a bit daft, especially on a road known for having plenty of speed enforcement.

Btw, no regular user of the M25 has any excuse for getting pinged by one of these: their locations are all well known.

One more no ban.
Wellington Place, Warley was fined £1000, given six penalty points, and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £100 and £90 costs for driving along the M25 at Epping at a speed of 107mph, in excess of the 70mph speed limit.

Stopped on M62 @ 107mph, clocked the police car, looked at speedo, 'Oh Crap'. Driving an A6, thinking about a problem with a customer, not intentional, just built up smoothly and didn't notice. An A6 is so comfortable you feel like your just cruising. Turned up at Mags Court with my Solicitor, suited and booted, looked sorry. Head Mag was an ex CC! 6 Points, £250 fine plus £35 'Victim Surcharge' or whatever they call it. Result!!
Clean licence now and set cruise control on any m/way. I still have fun on good A Roads in the Golf though!!!

Many years ago I was showing off my shiny new Boxster to my brother on the A30 just outside Bodmin. Crested the brow of a hill and spotted a marked Volvo in the lay-by, checked my speed - 123mph. bksbksfeckbksarse. Hit the brakes and went past him and predictably enough he pulled out and followed me for a bit, then stuck his lights on. I remember thinking that there was little point trying to be clever and that as I was facing an automatic ban I might as well just accept it and get on with it. First question from him was, 'Do you know why I've stopped you?' Well, yes of course, I was speeding. He was a bit taken aback by this but he showed me what speed he got me at - 103mph. Either way, I was facing a ban so I was just resigned to it really. He wanted to know why and I was completely honest, I was just showing off. Anyway, to cut a long story short he did me for driving in excess of 70mph which which meant 3 points and £60. Talk about a result. Thing is, what he said as we were parting has stuck with me ever since and that was' 'You might know what you're doing but nobody else does.' Smart advice and I actually use that virtually every day.
Bugger all help to the OP but I thought share the dit.
