I am able and now il have to do it myself and take time off work. Id rather do it myself after this. Though hopefully I can get this deposit back

Where do you live, if you are nearby and have a shovel, I will gladly help. I will enjoy it even more if we can get it done faster, better than your builder bloke.

By the time you have gone round it would have cost you an hour or two, you could have had it dug it in that time. Collect the bricks from the place and just get it done. I am in London unfortunately. That would have been good work. Turn the negative into a positive.

Really sorry to hear it is still going on OP, lesson for everyone though - always pay the trade after their progress! Keeps them focused, motivated and whittles out a good chunk of the hopeless ones!

Pay them after the day/delivery/job etc - not before!

I texted local BBC radiio station earlier - they read it out and then phoned some bloke off The Sheriffs are coming and asked him about my situation!!!
He said small claims etc
