Stop it now. They are being paid by the job not the hour. It's none of your business if they smoke. I was in agreement when they didn't show. But they have now and you have allowed them to start.

If you take this attitude going forward (it might just be on here). You are going to create a problem with them. They will not appreciate being told when they can have a cup of tea or their lunch. They are not school children.

Don't be that guy.

Just leave them to it rather than winding yourself up.
The two hour lunch break will begin soon. hehe

Quite. Measure them on the outcome, not how they get there.

If you want to micro manage the process and method as well... then hire by the hour and direct people while taking the responsibility for the job.

Bank holiday Monday hehe

This job is going to drag on a bit.

I am building my grandson a log cabin and I am already on my third coffee break this morning and I didn't start until 9.30.

Tea, the fuel of British commerce!

Worked on many building sites in the school holiday many years ago - tea breaks are what kept us going.

You should move into doing driveways. Your speedy and efficient service will rip the system up!

Don't be a pushover but be nice.

OP - I see your future.

It involves lots of posts on PH about how you don't have a drive you can use as it has been 'dug out' and that the contractor is refusing to do anything further until you stump up 75% of the outstanding balance of his quote.

I think you missed the joke? Incoming parrot?

That link will just take someone to their own Facebook profile. It's not specific.
