Is there any distinct difference apart from the way they look? And why the change?

Its fed into a central ticket office via under ground pipes so they keep banging out NIP's 247-365

The new cameras also have shutter speed so fast it can catch a woman with her mouth closed.

The Ones in West Yorkshire are being replaced by this type.



Disadvantages are that they can get you in both directions. Advantages, you can see the wires in the road and roll up at a faster speed and get away faster.

The ones nearest my home town have been switched off for a number of years .
I was also one of many truckers that got one removed , if you were driving towards it in a truck and it got triggered it blinded you with its double flash . It was sited just before a bend as the road narrowed .Not ideal if you had just been blinded by a flash .
