Asking on behalf of a friend wonder if anyone can give any advice.

On the 28th February they were called in to a meeting with their Boss (who's also Owner of the Company) and told "it's not working out so with immediate effective I'm terminating your employment, I'll send you through the compromise agreement soon with what I'll do with regards to money"

At this meeting they were given no formal documentation/letter.

My friend had been employed for less than 2 years and had a 3 month notice period in their contract of employment.

A few days later the Employer sent through a compromise agreement with a proposed termination date of the 28th March and staged payments of the PILON, Bonus and Termination Payment (7th April, 5th May & 5th June).

After a little bit of "back and forth" this was signed and returned.

However, the payment on the 7th April was late, was not for the full agreed amounts and whilst a pay slip was sent the descriptions of the payments did not state that any of them were for PILON. They were also sent their P45 at the same time.

The friend raised the short payment with the Employer but got no reply.

The employer has made no further payments.

Where does my friend stand?

Are they still effectively employed?

What can they do to get the rest of the agreed payments? (is it employment law or contract law)
