Where did you see that? Genuinely interested - I'm a "road works type" and I wasn't aware of that.

Diagram 7006 (or 7001 with the 'End' plate) - signifies end of road works and any associated temporary restrictions.

I can't see it. Know your traffic signs page 20 shows no yellow characters, can you be more specific? Maybe TSRGD?

Maybe something 'flexible' like this is used to justify the confusion.

After an enforceable speed limit ie. the ones with the red circle around them, the system will put a 'Derestriction emblem@ ie a red squarcle with a diagonal line, up on the gantry at the end of the limit area.
