Someone is insuring their car in my wifes name
Discussion
We have had a letter from More Than conforming that my wife has cancelled her insurance on her Vauxhall Corsa reg YB05 UCZ the thing is we have never owned a corsa. They have used my Wife's name and our address to insure in the car but when I rang More than they have not used her correct date of birth.
More than did not appear too bothered as i guess the insurance was cancelled with them, after pushing a little they said they would report it to the fraud department.
I still concerned this car maybe registered to my wife and we could get tickets etc from a car we neither own or know who owns it.
Is there any where we can ensure that its taken out of my wife name?

But you don't know that it is? You've not received a V5C in your wife's name, to your address...?Is there any where we can ensure that its taken out of my wife name?

"VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2I (04 ON) SXI 3DR"
I would keep an eye on the free credit checks, just in case - I am an old cynical git though. (Noddle & Clearscore, will show credit search history from memory.)

easy way to beat anpr cams. look out for a few parking tickets and speeding tickets coming
your Mrs way.
Because, of course, they use insurance details and don't get in touch with the registered keeper your Mrs way.
OP has she ever done an online quote for somebody else, even a relative? They could then have activated the quote and paid and not realised that the name was incorrect. </longshot>
Its a common scam take out insurance and cancel it in someone else s name and address it as soon as its entered on MIB data base
will make you safe from anpr cams if not a traffic pull
in mean time there hardly going to worry about parking or speed cams
i would not be suprised if a v5 for it turns up at there address from dvla shortly

That doesn't make ay sense. You'd have to have paid a premium and even if you didn't get smacked for a cancellation fee - assuming you cancel within 14 days - you're only going to get a couple of days out it. The car still needs tax and MOT to duck ANPRs.will make you safe from anpr cams if not a traffic pull
