Nope, in Northumberland. And why should I provide proof?
Because so many people have posted on here about getting done 31/32 in a 30 and have never provided proof thus everyone thinks it's a myth as it basically never happens.
Well, I'm not lying but I have no proof. I did see the letter, and she got a SAC.

Chatting to a chap yesterday and he just got done for 34 in a 30.

When is the ACPO guideline not a thing for local money grabbers to take any more notice of?

As I said before, like it or not, speed limits are an absolute so don't assume they won't prosecute for 0.1 mph over the limit. Guidelines are just that and not mandated.

Most authorities showed some sense, but that does not mean they always will.

The geometry between you and the van will also affect their reading. If your velocity vector is not pointed directly at the van, then the reading they received will be reduced. The more offset, the greater the reduction. Your velocity vector towards the camera is your real velocity x cosine of the offset angle.
I'm sure it's not that simple laugh
Actually, it is. Your velocity vector can be divided into a vector directly toward the camera van, and another vector perpendicular to the van. The result is a right triangle, with your true velocity as the hypotenuse. It won't result in a huge difference because of the nature of the cosine function.
It can be simplified further. 'Velocity vector' is a tautology. Both words mean a measurement that includes both magnitude and direction, so you need only use one smile

OMG - its now a free for all for ambitious local Quangos and Richard Brunstrom wanabees in making their marks via a financially driven PowerPoint presentation sucking up to Whitehall that 'proves' speed crime?

What's actually happened here - are all CPO's disbanded and running Speed Awareness Courses for 6 months and then lording it on a yacht for the other 6? Med Hughes (aka ex ACPO speeding Tzar nicked for 95 in a 60 ) is doing very well out of it all I hear...

Here's to proper road policing not this 4mph over BS extortion: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-40571699
