I'll give you another scenario.

Dad's car is insured SDP + Business class 1*. Named drivers wife and son.

• * fyi Business class 1 covers commuting to normal place of work and other workplaces, but not business use where the car is instrumental, e.g. commercial travelling, carrying samples or goods.

Wife occasionally takes the car to her work. Covered for commuting as spouse, so business class 1 applies, usually but not always aiui.

Son's car off road, borrows Dad's car to go to work. Not covered need business class 2 to include named drivers other than policyholder and spouse.
