Hello!

Long story short, a double glazing company installed some windows for us around October last year, I can't complain the work was pretty good and the windows are alright.

However since then we've had 26 phone calls from the company in question asking if we want new windows installed, despite the fact they've been and done them already! After a few times I asked them to remove me from whatever calling list they have, obviously this hasn't happened.

I've had enough now, how can I legally tell them to fk off?

call up pretending to be from another company ostensibly offering a useful service, get hold of the mobile number of a senior staff member then keep calling them at all hours offering them windows until they get the message.

I think I might know the said company, had similar "follow up"

Just agree for a salesperson to come round and then point out you just had new windows when they arrive. Sure it won't take too many visits before they get the message

This.

A friend of mine was pestered endlessly by a company wanting him to buy a conservatory. In the end he invited them round to give him a quote. He lives in a second floor flat.

As has already been said - you've told them you don't need new windows or doors (especially since they fitted them).
When they call again tell them to send a salesman round.

I had the same issue when i lived in Elgin, despite informing them i was renting from Defense Housing (being in the RAF at the time) and not to call again they kept calling, i kept telling them till eventually i said just send a salesman round. After an hour of measuring up and telling me how we really needed new window and doors as the ones fitted were 'way past their best' - on a 2 year old new build, he gave me his quote. After i said not at that price he went outside to 'call his boss' and 'see what he could do'. After the price dropped by £2,000 i gave him the address and phone number of the person at Defense Housing would have to authorize it and pay for it and he kicked off about me 'wasting his time and how i should be billed for it, etc'.
That was when i pointed out that as a local company they should know where the Defense Housing was and i'd told then at least 10 times not to call again and if they want to waste my time calling i'll repeatedly waste their time inviting someone round to measure up.

Never had another call from them after that!

The replies are getting a bit like the phone calls, repetitive.

I wouldn't get them to come round, chances are they will quote you less than you already paid them and that will really piss you off hehe

A quick search online will reveal who are the directors of the company are. I would suggest you do this then try and find out their contact details give them a call and tell them if they don't stop ringing you your have their number put into every call centre dialler that you can think of such as PPI claims loans credit cards etc etc

I had that; asked them why I'd buy from them again - doesn't exactly show confidence in their product if they're only expecting it to last less than one year before it's ready for replacement.

Makes the salesperson squirm a bit, answering that!

Google various window suppliers in the area, find their website "contact us for a quote" and put in the MD's mobile number. I'm sure he'll love getting a good dose of his own medicine.
