Don't ask me why but as I read the first few lines of this post I just knew the author would be a BMW driver. The cars are so easily Chaved & modified so as to look awful.
It also confirms why I would NEVER want to be seen driving a BMW however modern flash fast or even classic.
Once as a company car driver I actually turned down a Series 3 for a Honda & laughed all the way to the bank when I realised how little company tax I was paying compared to my snobby colleagues who just HAD to have a BMW. Truth was & is BMW is no longer a brand that is aspired to if you have made a success of your life.
And why rant at the police when in the full knowledge of breaking the law.
Why waste all that energy huffing & puffing about something you cannot change. Irritation anger & moaning posts won't change a thing.
Amused me how 2 of the 3 people first to reply to this post had BMW models in their usernames hehe

Tinted plates look awful imo on any car. The guy living opposite me has a black Xsara Picasso with them on. Could've fooled me, I thought the car was an M5 before I looked closer.

...and thought it totally unreasonable that he should have to comply with the law as it must be a breach of his right to be 'scene' or whatever nonsense it is now, so posted on here and got told he was being silly. He has now dissappeared again.
And here is me, thinking he was doing the world a favour by simulating the wearing of shades when looking at his plate. Even in overcast conditions. Or at night.

This is a pretty poor attempt at trolling, with a fake user ID.

How do people get these accounts that have been around for a while, but have zero posts attached to them? Is there some sort of market where you can buy them?

They all seem to come with one consistent approach though. That being that their profile is always complete with their "name", other details and a website link, which never works, see below for this one

Plate aside, how did we get onto the having no debt narrative? Was that a point to try prove he was a better person or something? Bet his BM is still parked outside of his mummy's house though.

When did BMW's come into it?

Tinted plates are equally wk on any car, their wkyness is not marque specific.

When WJNB turned up.

I was going to say that one of the kids at school who used to nick his dinner money must now have a BMW, but a quick look at his posting history shows repeated rants about other marques, too.

There's a chain of restaurants in London called Miso, they have a fleet of landrovers which are khanned and have heavily tinted numberplates as well as the windows, surprised they get away with it tbh and makes me wonder other things they get away with.

Not tinted...but at a local car show last night there was a pristine bike with grease all over the numberplate.......do people actually get away with this kind of crap?

They seem to.
Strikes me as odd, as it is waving in the face of the Police that they are comitting an offence.
I know resources are stretched, but once people think they can pick and choose the laws they obay, it seems a slippery slope.

Years ago, as I was queueing for a toll booth at the Dartford Crossing, a bike went through, rider in black head to toe. The bike was painted entirely in white and the number plate on the rear was spelt:

fk
OFF

Now why do you suppose would he do that?

^^ I'm saving my effort for the associated unfair Parking fine thread where the OP enters during bright daylight so the front plate could be read, but left at night when the plate couldn't be read by the camera.

If you have special needs then maybe you need special number plates.

Never understand why people feel the number must be an expression of their own style or an extension of ones manhood.

If i was getting pulled over 7 times for no compliant plates I would be sod this not worth the hassle!

But some people clearly need something like this to fill their days.
