I'm not really bothered about them pulling me it's how rude they are thinking they can control me . It's about once a month they pull me for last 8 months . Your choice then, personally I'd be very uncomfortable being pulled every month on the basis that sooner or later it'll end badly, so prefer to stay under the radar.Mrgrumps said:

Number plates in order to be legal must comply with the prescribed requirements. You have chosen not to comply. Fair enough, thats your prerogative. So, why come on here moaning that you keep getting a tug from the boys in blue?
There are several solutions to your predicament:
- Swap out the plates to normal boring legally compliant ones
- Challenge it in court
- Keep doing what you are doing and 'stick it to the man'

I don't do anything wrong to stay under the radar , don't speed as I hate stone chips and the police don't really bother me , they never spoil my day or make me feel angry unless they are holding other motorists up because they have forced me to stop where others can't pass but that's ok because they are police and no one can stop them , do what they want Mrgrumps said:

There's a really, really simple answer to this conundrum....I'm intrigued though, why would you want it to look like you have a permanently dirty number plate?
Regarding whether it's legal or not, as it's a relatively new fad I imagine it will be legislated against in quick order.
