There's your get out of jail free card
I assumed they would just say 'When you arrived and noted it was a red route, should have driven back around' I'm not sure I can even be bothered with the hassle for the sake of £35, I know it's abit of a selfish view to take as this will effect other people (Incorrect signage) but I did technically stop where I shouldn't, despite the good intentions.
Do they have a time frame to issue the PCN similar to an NIP? Heard nothing yet but its only been 4 days.
"Noble causes" are sadly not a valid reason to get tickets cancelled - if it was, then everyone would be claiming to have an hospital emergency for a sick baby.
It may be worth looking at whether the signage is fully compliant with the TSRGD 2016 - (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016), but for the sake of £35, your time may be more valuable to you than researching and appealing.

This is a prime example of Nottingham City Council's hate the motorist policy, all done to fund an expensive tram system that no one wanted in the first place.
NCC will demand their pound of flesh.
Is that the same Tram Network that hasn't been operational since Monday in our section of Nottingham? Great isn't it?! Apparently should be up and running by Monday coming.... Apparently...NCC will demand their pound of flesh.

That's the issue, it's not worth my time and energy for sake of £35. I feel I'm being abit selfish but it really isn't, think that will have to be someone else's fight. I'm resigned to the fact now. Suppose at least I know for future reference now though at the rate the entire area of Nottingham is becoming so uncar friendly, may just save the car for long runs and avoid the city altogether. It may be worth looking at whether the signage is fully compliant with the TSRGD 2016 - (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016), but for the sake of £35, your time may be more valuable to you than researching and appealing.

A penalty charge notice may not be served later than the expiration of the period of 28 days beginning with the date on which, according to a record produced by an approved device, the contravention to which the penalty charge notice relates occurred. The local authority must have applied to the DVLA for the RK's details within 14 days of the detection date. It's only get-out-of-jail free card is if the DVLA has failed to respond in time for the above-mentioned 28 day time frame to be complied with. In which case the LA has 6 months in which to serve the PCN.

The tram network is supposed to be good yet for the past 6 weeks, it's useless. Constant broken down trams meaning the whole network just stops. Hence the reason for this morning's little adventure.
