You should have checked before you bought them/checked the return conditions.

The company is under no obligation to do anything for you, unless they are faulty.
They would have been under obligation of distance selling law if he hadn't used them.
(If its not business to business).

If the new clippers you like had turned up in an open box with signs they were obviously used would you be happy to keep them?
OTOH, do you demand that your barber breaks out a boxfresh set of clippers in front of you every time you go for a haircut? (well, this is PH). These are being used in a hairdressers. 8 or more fat greasy blokes' heads a day. It's hardly relevant to just about anyone that they've been used a couple of times.

I think it may be spellchecker doing an autocorrect when the OP meant to type: have returned

Are you happy to pay full price for used goods?

Yes, it doesn't take a genius to work that out.

OP - as mentioned I think ebay will be your best bet unless your supplier states they will accept returns in their T&Cs.

How much do you charge for a buzz haircut?

Do you think when you get a haircut that the barber's clippers have never been used before? smile
I'm not buying the clippers from the barber. smile

OK I take the points above.

As per the above poster regarding an open box, happened to me numerous times and have no issue with it.

Matt

With 'signs they were obviously used'? I find that hard to believe.

The clippers don't suit your style of cutting? That's not their fault. That's down to "your style of cutting". There is nothing wrong with the clippers so the seller isn't under a duty to give you a refund.

Well done....

Wonder if you could advise me?

I'm trying to return some underpants but they're being difficult.

Perfect condition, just stuck to me a bit after six months.

I'm a vegan and bought a box of mail order steaks. I've realised they don't suit my eating style so I'm wondering if I can get a refund.
