If a sole trader (formally) closes a business whilst they are still alive, do they have any liabilities in respect of such a claim whilst they are still alive?
As a sole trader I would guess that an advert was placed in a paper asking for anyone with claims against the estate to contact the solicitor. This would normally have a finish date that would preclude any claims received after that date
