My mistake. I thought it was a 20. Though It's only a matter of time, surely?

Don't think this guy is a troll chaps, he used to use the same garage I do...

OP you need to pay for legal advice sharpish. In Scotland high speeds are more likely to be considered dangerous, with penalties reflecting that. So you really do need to take it seriously and not waste your time on here.

As for the road, for the unenlightened, it's a 50mph limit which immediately comes from a 70mph. Most don't slow down. He's not the devil incarnate for speeding on it.

He's probably a well known member on here and set up another account.

Lets not forget he is poster boy for this campaign.

Don't drive to court unless someone can drive it home for you.

Most people aren't doing 124mph plus though.

But yes, the 50mph is generally ignored when heading North into the city and you soon have to slow down for the Jewel roundabout anyway. Not sure what direction the OP was heading of course but the court probably won't be interested in that.

hi guys, recently got caught over taking a police car at 124 mph. was in all the papers as the bill were just ready to start a campaign about speeding.
anyway, pleaded guilty by letter. didn't have any points so thought id get points and a big fine.
the magistrate wishes for my personal apperrance.
it was a fully marked police car. they have the chase on dvd. they only got my at 124 cos there big ass Volvo takes ages to get to high speed.
what sort of ban am I looking at? or are they gonna make an example of me?
lost interest in the bike now cos I loved going out for a good blast in the evenings.
my mate got caught on the same road farther up.
there was a zzr 1400 behind him. he thought he wanted a wee race. he raced him till he got to 154mph and put a blue light on!

This is a road relatively nearby, but is an NSL. The chap did 166mph on it. He got 9 months inside.

Not sure how this bodes for the OP.

Knockhill racing circuit is only 60 minutes from where you were caught. In future, book a track day and go as fast as you want.

most bikers who get banned just keep riding and the police don't really care
it's rare for them to be pursued if they get caught speeding too

What's the point in a thread like this? Even if it's not trolling, it's pointless responding. The outcome of any actual prosecution is obvious.

Can we just make the thread about bumming? That would be more fun.

True, but if someone is, err... silly enough to fly past a marked police car and get caught only doing 124.

Did you know they have computers in schools nowadays. Just sayin'

Best case- 200 hrs comminity service, 2 year ban, never being able to insure anything again other than a penny farthing.

Worst case- Being cell mates with a very hairy man called BIG BUBBA who likes to use you as his cock holster thrice nightly.

to be fair, anybody who does 124mph past a fully marked up Police car in a 50mph limit deserves everything coming his way. There will be a ban of at least 2 years, a fine and a retest an eyetest
