Where can you buy pink screw caps/ covers anyway ?

I reckon they're sun-bleached. Or something.

I'd have taken the really couldn't give a feck option.

Yellow, white, black or blue.

If any other colours were actually legal then somebody would be flogging them on eBay for a quid.

I expect.

What about a rusty old brown self- tapper (no cover) ?

Would I need to treat it with a bit of kurust (goes blue/ black) ?

Friend of mine has registration 80OB and uses pink coloured retaining screw covers in the middle of the 0O.
Reminds me a lass at work had B168 OOB

Spaced and dotted B16 800B

She did have a nice rack so it was an apt plate

He got stopped by a female copper once who was not amused, she was even less amused when it was pointed out it was a legit number plate. biggrin
What car is the plate on?

Not with pink retaining screws.
Got rid of them after the copper went mental. laugh

That plate amuses me. If it was mine and I had that amount of funds for such a vehicle with that plate, I'd probably get a Rover P5 and 75 crescent bottomed rear plate made up even if just to see what it looked it. WTF indeed.
Ive only once seen a larger plate style on the rear of a CLS, it looked awful! - I wont be doing it to mine biggrin

Glad the plate amuses you wink

I know you say that, but I don't see a mark in the middle of your "0" or "O" there. The colour is uniform within.
The colour within should be white or yellow. I'd argue it does make it less distinguishable to the eye because it distracts & when viewed quickly that could mean the difference between you distinguishing whether the characters are "0" or 'O"s.

I realise we disagree & I'd have been happy to report the driver & let a magistrate have a look at it.
I'd also have taken a photo & sent it to DVLA for them to decide what they think about it.
I'd be happy to go with whatever both of them say about it smile
That's what they are there for, to make a decision in such cases.

Agreed, such a great use of judicial resources, then someone will pop up and say 'it's a law and laws must be adhered to, crimes investigated' - then it gets pointed out in some areas people wonder what a copper looks like, they're that rare, then you hear another article that unless it's Wednesday, your house is odd number, ad the front door is red, your burglary/assault/car theft won't be attended, and if you're really lucky you'll get a crime reference number - but nothing else will follow on.

But hey, lets involve all and sundry because the number plate needs clarification...

I thought Pistonheads was poor because it had descended to people arguing with each other for no reason. You seem to have taken it one step further and are having an argument all by yourself! laugh
