Let’s leave it shall we? Neither of us will change our opinions.

I use a marked right turn lane to go straight on on my local bypass every time I get there and there’s more than 3 cars in the queue. I’ll carry on doing that. I’ll report back if I ever get prosecuted and buy a big humble pie that you can watch me eating.
Whether it's legal or not, it's still an unpleasant way to act especially when the stated motive is impatience. If it's marked turn right, then you use it to turn right, otherwise wait in the correct line. Using it to skip some cars is a dick move.

I used it because the bypass is a 50 limit (used to be a 60), but has a gentle uphill from the lights. Lorries rarely break 30,most cars waft to 40. I’m long gone and caise none of the cars to be held up at all.

It might be a “dick move”, but then so is trundling along 10-20moh below the speed limit on a bypass, because you’re incapable of using the accelerator.
