Vanishing Point is the point at which two parallel lines (i.e. a road) appear to converge.

Sound familiar? Does that sound like the limit point?

It's been called the Vanishing Point in general terminology for years. Where do you think that film got its name from???

You don't have to take my word for it. You're on the internet. Look it up. Even the Oxford Dictionary defines it. It's a perspective term that happens to be applied to driving in this case. The 'Vanishing Point of the road' means exactly the same as the Limit Point.
