M4 go slow protest, mmmmm!
Discussion
Just been reading about the proposed protest on the M4.
Very good, hopefully it will starve the cameras.
At the same time, very very funny.
Isn't it something I have been telling people to do all along? How long has it taken people to realise this??
If only people drove to the speed limit in the first place and starved the cameras, then this would have been the solution ages ago.

NO IT WOULD NOT!!!
They would lower the speed limits more as they would state that "their policy is working", regardless of any rise in accidents during the period.
Your argument, although trying to help, is almost as bad and simplistic as "speed kills"!

Well if you spend some time thinking about it their policy has indeed worked hasn't it!
They want you to slow down, so everone on the Saturday will!!

PetrolTed, why have you named it a 'go-slow media stunt' on your front page????

I didn't write that.
Its on the front of this site when I load it up, thats why I used it in the title of this thread.
Apologies to you sir for saying you named it that, but it is on the front of the site.
'Go Slow Media Stunt' sounds a bit like the job title of the PR officer of a camera partnership!
This protest's a start - against a crap law enforced in a crap manner by crap quangos. We've got to keep protesting. Can't make this due to close friend's wedding, but would definitely be up for further protests!
Would think a circular route encompassing the M4, then back round on the old A4 would be more disruptive.
Edited for noddy typing

Should I provide the link to the thread you started on your cycling forum where you announced the arrival of the M4 cams with obvious glee again?
We know your true feelings on the subject.

So, what sort of a threat is that? I think people know my feelings on the camera subject. The intelligent people derived their thoughts from reading my posts on here.
Its sad that you need to search other forums to find 'dirt' on me, do you have a life??
My comments that I have posted state that slowing down starves the cameras, simple. So what are you trying to prove with a threat like that?
Anyway if you do post the link, remember you are also advertising the other forum, and giving the advertisers on there greater exposure. A good job all round I think!

Not a threat, I wasn't sure if you saw it last time as you asked me to show you where you said you were happy with Camera's...so I did, and you ignored it.
For other peoples benefit then, here it is again.

Well, I don't enough spare time to go hang out on cycling forums or anything, so I hang out here, but then I am a motoring enthusiast...Whats your excuse?
