So, what sort of a threat is that?

Not a threat, I wasn't sure if you saw it last time as you asked me to show you where you said you were happy with Camera's...so I did, and you ignored it.

For other peoples benefit then, here it is again.

Its sad that you need to search other forums to find 'dirt' on me, do you have a life??

Well, I don't enough spare time to go hang out on cycling forums or anything, so I hang out here, but then I am a motoring enthusiast...Whats your excuse?

funkyrobot said:

Anyway if you do post the link, remember you are also advertising the other forum, and giving the advertisers on there greater exposure. A good job all round I think!

I'll risk it!

Eerrmmm, yes, that thread really shows that i'm overjoyed at the prospect of the cameras. Err, come to think of it, where did you get the idea that im really happy with the cameras?

Have you read the thread further down where I posted more comments? Obviously not. But then again I haven't expected anything more from you. Classic case of grabbing at anything that's dangling and trying to use it. I think i'll get the carrot on a stick out next!

My excuse for being on here is that I enjoy motorsport. I think thats an ok excuse.

I'm glad C+ forum will now be having extra exposure thanks to you.

Well you would know wouldn't you, considering the fact that you know me.

Good thing really. From your posts you do sound like a bit of a moron. If your postings are a reflection of yourself then I can say, with great certainty, that you have not got a life.

Await boring reply...

That smiley was used purely as a smiley, it wasn't used to show me agreeing with the story.

If I agreed with anything then I would have said so.

It could have been put better, obviously, but the only time I truly believe in the use of cameras is when they are used at proper blackspots, not just on a motorway for money making.

Out of all the smileys you could have used, you picked that one; the only one which indicates approval.

So folks, isn't that what we all believe???

I don't personally believe that speed cameras ever do any good, their existance is predicated on the assumption that all motorists are evil baby killers who will travel at excessive speed at all times unless under threat of punishment. I do not believe this to be the case, these types are very much in the minority (and are not deterred by speed cameras anyway, since the are frequently driving unlicensed and uninsured). The majority, ie. the rest of us may occassionally need a gentle reminder that the hazard density in the area might require making more cautious progress, for which purpose a smily SID will do nicely, more effective, and a damn sight cheaper.

I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make a comment on the article.

I posted it to bring it to the attention of the forum, then kept my mouth shut until the discussion had begun.

And, once again I am saying this, read further down the thread, you will see my comments on speed cameras.

If I posted this as a new thread:

"THEY'RE 4 IT NOW ON CYCLE LANES!!"

What would you think my stance on Bicycles was?

Unless you actually wrote something re what your stance on this was I would just assume you were posting a link for discussion. Your commments, if you were to make any, would follow.

Actually, due to the nature of the 'two' cycle lanes near me that I use, the above statement is worthless. Cars do actually 'own' the cycle lanes near me, and have the preference.

How?

I don't agree with speed cameras, unless they are used properly.

I don't agree with excess speed on the road.

Therein lies your challenge - you don't understand what "excess speed" is. See other threads - 140mph may be excessive sometimes, and other times it may be perfectly fine, depending on car, driver, conditions, etc. But it is not excessive per se. You need to gain more experience before making rash generalisations.
