Strange convoy of unmarked cars on A329 (RS6s, E63s, Viano)

Driving around yesterday and saw two RS6s, two E63 estates, a couple of other cars and a Viano, all with blues and twos going.

Is this something related to the cabinet chaos, or royalty? I was surprised they are using such powerful cars when the one apparently transporting someone in the middle of the pack was a Viano...
