So nobody has been in a Magistrates Court when someone that's committed an offence due to their use of a motor vehicle on the road and the Court has been told that the defendant admitted to the offence at the earliest opportunity?

So nobody has read a local newspaper report about a police Misconduct hearing and it states the number of times the officer involved didn't take the opportunity to admit to their conduct?

So when the police are caught, found out why can't they put their hands up and say 'It's a fair Cop'?

Aren't they just abusing their position and reputation by failing to take responsibility for their failures and wrongdoing?

How is not admitting to mistakes and wrongdoing compatible with police ethics that the College of Policing has been promoting for a while now?

By all means ask the Pistonheads Team. While you are at it ask them if they find the posters who have admitted they would like to shoot me in the head have contravened posting rules.
That emotional support hamster is on its way. Hurt feelings matter.

I note you do not put your name to your posts. Why hide? It diminishes the value of your opinions.
Do you think anyone else here values your opinions, named or not? How do we know the name you post under is even close to yours anyway? You could be spy or a LIAR or both.

It's "Met", by the way.
I am interested to read other opinions but has anything I have written so far led you to believe I care about the opinions of people I do not personally know? Whether people agree or value my opinions is entirely up to them.

I have not read anything yet that will cause me to revise my views on the bare-faced lies told by the police officers who controlled the undercover spying operation.

Thanks for the spelling correction.

When it comes to atrocious policing I have no sense of humour.

Does that mean you want to stop people replying to the original post? No-one has responded to that yet. Perhaps they cannot think on any justifications for the catalogue of lies and disgusting behaviour the "Met" has engaged in.

Does anyone else have anything to say about the police behaviour in this case because if you do not you deserve the Met you have got.

A lack of a name doesn’t reduce an option, it’s a lack of knowledge and intelligence.

If you’re too thick / unwilling to learn / acknowledge that the police can’t be ordered to shoot people, for example, then why even bother? You resign yourself to someone who comes across as a weird obsessive.

I’d also add the vast majority of serving officers would be unable to shoot you since most are unarmed, but let’s avoid multiple threads of logic as you’ll blow you top!

You think that's bad, you should hear what some of the secret service operatives get up to!
You’re not wrong!
I saw a documentary the other night about a secret service operative, this bloke was a raging alcoholic & serial womaniser, not only that he was involved in a series of scandals & botched operations and I reckon he was also embezzling public money somehow as he was shown driving around in a Aston Martin!

The truth will come out eventually...
I need new glasses, I read that he drives an Aston Martini !!

I was puzzled by your non appearance La Liga. I thought perhaps that you were going through my original post point by point to offer a reasoned rebuttal. Sadly not it seems.

In the absence of any intelligent comment from anyone raging against my opinion I can only assume that the majority of you are quite happy to be policed by some officers who are proven liars.

People have commented on the story.

More than one has said they don't care what The Met or the undercover officer did because he infiltrated a group of "eco terrorists".

You just haven't got the responses you were looking for so you chose to ignore those replies.

This thread really hasn't gone well for you, has it ?

P.S. Please don't think that this group will - necessarily - have been all sweetness and light and were campaigning for the rights of trees or toadstools or fungus or other such nonsense.
Some " eco activists" (much like some animal rights campaigners) are a right nasty bunch.

Hi, David. You invited me to comment on your original post:

From your original statement:

davidball said:
Senior police officers did know about the sexual relationships and probably knew about the offspring too. They did sanction them.
My reply:

La Liga said:
In terms of your original post, you’ll have to provide evidence for your claims first. Where is the evidence senior officers knew / lied?

There’s one direct quote that says “line manager”. What rank is that line manager? The critical thinker (not you) would realise they’d need to know the rank of the line manager before being able to conclude whether or not they were senior.
Is the ‘debate’ a one-way street? Your whole post revolves around ‘senior officers’ so surely you should clarify how you’re supporting that conclusion.

Or is it, as is the case with all your topics, that you get pulled apart on basics aspects of your posting / knowledge which results in you skulking away until you feel the need to post your next flawed thread?

I am surprised that you find my original post about the lies police have told about undercover policing to be provoking. You must have led a sheltered life so far.
I said provoking. You post on a forum, with some current and former officers with a post written in an aggressive manner to provoke a response. You then proceed to be at best passive aggressive or aggressive.

I am not in any way related to the police, directly or indirectly.

Personally I think there are some bad police. Some. There are some bad judges. There are some corrupt councillors. There are some bad MPs. And Lords. And traffic wardens.

Stuff will go wrong.

BUT I am also confident that we have a reasonable system of checks and balances, especially in the modern era. People are flawed. We rely on humans. We cannot live in a perfect system. BUT we can create a system whereby whistleblowers are protected, people have easy access to protection and that when discovered issue are investigated.

The UK is not perfect. I have experience of living in France, USA and Switzerland. I'd rate our police and justice system as probably the best of the 4. France is better at the local level, but worse at the para-military level. Switzerland is fair but draconian. USA is well, interesting.

How does it compare to Belgium in you experience? As a Brit/Belgian, why does this topic create so much ire for you?
I suggested a very constructive response earlier that you did not deign to respond to.

Nothing personal, but if you are a serving police officer I regard you as capable of shooting me in the head if ordered to. Regardless of whether my actions posed a threat to you or anyone else.
On the basis that in humans the brain is in close proximity to the mouth we'd probably have more success shooting you in the arse.
