That's a very small amount of have split up into 3 lots. It could be seen that you were potentially selling them due to the way they were split. I guess it depends how they see it as to how this will get dealt with.

Also, the alternative would be court, and I'm bang to rights.
I dont think anything will come of it. If it does, just deny any knowledge. If body cam footage is shown to you to "remind you", then ohh yeah... i was arf my tits on coke.

I did worry about that. It genuinely was personal use.

But if intent to supply was a suspicion, surely a search of my property becomes a prority?

I was thinking about situations like this and how handy it would be to have a smallish device, say the size of a packet of cigs or something, that when the button on the side is clicked or clicked 3 times etc the contents would be incinerated or chemically neutralized. Maybe even a voice command could do it "chocks away Charlie!".

So you can carry around party pharma and if you foresee any po-po shennanigans on the horizon a quick clickity click means the cops will be opening up a box full of ashes, not half a gram of the devils dandruff.

I'm thinking something like the heated coils in vapes perhaps and a chamber above with your special stuff in. Marketing wise I don't know, sure I can come up with a good name and tag line.

The sin bin incinerator - caught with your stash, gone in a flash

Any tame boffins out there want in? biggrin Having seen the state of what happens to peoples arses when a phone explodes in their pocket, I'm sure the energy density is there.

As with all things, I'm sure somebody has thought of it before me, I once mentioned to a friend (in public) that they should do smaller tubes of pringles and about 3 months later they appeared on the shelves.

Dragons den maybe. As you were.

Hi,

I was caught in a nightclub on Saturday the 6th October with 3 gel capsules containing approx. 100mg of cocaine each. The police were called and I was searched and interviewed in the disabled toilet.

One of the coppers had a body cam and I admitted during the interview that I believed the substance to be cocaine.

Initially they proposed they would seek to do a 'community disposal' (or something like that) followed by a police warning. However, they radioed through and were told that this was not available for class A drugs.

I was then told I would receive a conditional caution that I could either accept or go to court. I stated I would accept the caution so they took my phone number and address and sent me on my way, telling me they would telephone me to come to the station and sign the caution paperwork.

I haven't heard anything from them yet and I am wondering if anyone has any idea of the likely timescale for this kind of thing? Could it be weeks until they make contact?

I won't be doing this again, and I would very much like to take the rap and get closure ASAP.

Appreciate any advice.

Cheers
I would not sweat it. It's too soon for them to have had it tested and got the paperwork sorted. You can call, if you want to chase them up, but that probably will reduce the chances of it slipping through the cracks.
I wouldn't hold out much hope of that. Not because of my unwavering faith in the diligence of officers, but because booking the coke in will create an electronic paper trail (e trail??) that will be easiest to make go away once there is a result.

If the OP's admitted the substance as Cocaine then there may be no requirement to test, however if it is tested its a simple test carried out at a Police station by a trained officer and doesnt need to be sent off. If the Police intend to administer a conditional caution then theyll need to prepare a file and the caution will need to be authorised. Unless the OP was interviewed under caution at the club then there may be a further interview at the Police station - so he should have legal advice present at this interview. The caution will carry some kind of condition i.e some kind of drugs course referral - dont think this is always the case for first offences though. If the condition is not complied with - then theres a good chance of going to court for the initial offence

Very little hope of "intent to supply" on that small a volume, no matter how it's distributed.

The police won’t be looking at possession with intent to supply. If they did it’s almost certain the OP would have been arrested so his house could be searched etc.

“Why did you have three wraps?”

“They were sold that way.”

Simple enough to explain that.

OP, if you are invited to the station I’d suggest having a solicitor. It’s free.

on the caution thing - not sure if all cautions are considered equal?

I passed a Investment bank security testing for a decent level job in the same year I had a caution.

didn't make any difference to my life whatsoever

I mean it came up in the interview, I was honest and declared it and explained it and they hired me.

Not quite the same as security clearances for government work.

Blimey 3 grams just for yourself? Impressive.
That would be an experience. But it was 300mg, 0.3 grams.
The person that sells you them sells them in 100mg portions and in gel caps?!
That sounds weird, and a lot of fiddly effort for a dealer to go to unless he’s selling them individually for £6, which again is weird.

I love posts like these, 'Only I know what I'm talking about therefore I will look jolly clever and all the cool kids will love me.' The fact that the content is a load of testicles is irrelevant I suppose.

Makes you wonder how people function without an ability to read and/or do basic mental arithmetic doesn't it? Maybe he should snort some coke and see if it wakes him up a bit wink
