At first I did feel bad thinking have I walked between someone’s car and scratched it by mistake not realizing, I’m sure I would remember!!!
If it happened to me I would have all photos evidence ready then go and ask the person and show them.
I have asked for photos CCTV and no one has sent me anything. Now I’m standing my ground with no evidence why am I being accused?

I got taken to court regarding a bar bill we never paid for a huge party we had, I had paid half but subsequently we had gone over the tab. I didn’t pay it due to disagreements relating to other things relating to the day. I demanded to see a bill for 10 months and it never materialized.
In court I had every email/correspondence and I had sent them copy’s.
The company which turns over millions every year turned up with nothing but a big shot lawyer, they didn’t even have the evidence I had sent them. Judge ruled in 5 mins on compensation for us.

Deja Vu?
How big was the bar bill confused
They claimed £3k!!! When half the people were non drinkers.

I’ve told my mates about this situation and they have all said mate it’s just you.
Unfortunately things do seem to happen to me. Twice gone on holiday arrived at hotel with no hotel reservation even though had an email saying it was booked. When I went to Oz with my mate we got there, no bags. Ah sorry your bags are in LA. We didn’t even go via LA.
Got pulled over as mistaken identity before as well, was in cuffs and everything until I gave my name.

What the scratch?

Not BS at all but having had no response from the car park or BMW man maybe they are back tracking?

Seriously my misses thinks I am cursed even on our honeymoon we got bumped from the flight.

It happened ages ago. I can barely remember things that happened last week let alone month. My misses would vouch for my memory.

OP, couple of questions.

1. Have you spoken to HR about this? This has nothing to do with your employer or employment.

2. Is the car you are accused of scratching, still parked in the car park every day? If so, have you had a look at it to see if there is actually a scratch on it, you could take your own photos of this if you want, make sure you have some of your own evidence in case it gets messy and before he has it repaired.

No haven’t spoken to HR.

I’m still on paternity leave, went in for 2 KIT days but this was before I was told about the scratch.

Started several pages ago for me.

In fact I'd go further and say it reminds me of the "shenanigans" of another regular poster on here (who sounds like he might be from Merthyr Tydfil)

Beef from Wales?

I just dont get the OP going on and on and on.

Either provide proof or do one. Offer to call the police yourself shows your not hiding anything. Be polite but you cant help them further until they provide proof.

End of story. End of conversation. Its the End.

Nobody is from Merthyr, people are just sent there as punishment.

Shared parental leave (paternity in olden days) can be anything 2 weeks > 46 weeks if memory serves me right?

Paternity Leave and Shared Parental Leave are different things

https://www.gov.uk/paternity-pay-leave

Somebody at our workplace suggested that people be given paid adoption leave when they get a new cat or dog as this is similar to adopting a new baby......

Paternity leave is 2 weeks. OP has been off for 2 months + and had KIT days. Hence parental leave being upwards of 2 weeks.

But well done on realising the difference yourself

you guys have been suckered in by Walter Mitty. The big give away was 'There is CCTV evidence but I am not allowed to see it'. Big shot lawyers don't defend unpaid bar tabs when their daily rate exceeds that tab.
Thirdly, the high post count has him sat on the end of his chair waiting to see who replies.
But by all means carry on feeding the troll.

What type of company do you work for? If it's got a proper HR department who will protect you I'd be arranging a meeting with them with the complaint being that an accusation of criminal behavior has been made against you based on circumstantial evidence, tell them you didn't do it and you expect that your employers should be reporting the matter to the police to deal with and that unless the police find evidence to charge you this will be the last you hear of it - with the exception of a written apology from all who accused you. If possible take union rep to the meeting, but at a minimum take someone you trust.
