Cost relative when new, £30 secondhand washing machine and an old battered high mileage car for £850 and this guy wants a refund ffs! What makes people think buying a second hand car is any different from buying any other used object?? The warranty ran out on the p.o.s car probably as much as 12 years ago and buyer of said cheap runabout wants to quote the CRA act pmsl...

For those waiting,in vain, for the codes, the OP hasn't even said what type of car it is,how old, mileage,or anything else for that matter.
Waste of time.

The code was 12 and 93, left bank o2 sensor on cylinders 1 and 7

Could also be the boot and filler cap were open, I'm just guessing here.

That’s another thing.
This one doesn’t have. 710 cap, like the last one did.

Hope that’s a joke.
What, buying an £850 car then expecting a refund.

I'd tell you to do one.

This is exactly why cars of low value get scrapped rather than sold. I have given up selling cheap cars because people expect the car to be like new, and their rights to be the same.

All this talk of rejecting the car and getting the full money back.

How was the car described? Was it described as, like new, or no faults, or fully reliable car? Or was it described as £850 and no mention of it being good, let alone perfect.

What would any reasonable person expect for £850?

Codes would help...

Its probably an o2 sensor or MAF fault if it's otherwise running ok... neither of which would be surprising or unexpected on an £850 car.

If so, just get the trader to cover parts and labour to get it fixed at a garage of your choice.

As we've been saying for almost a week. OP hasn't updated since the first day; don't suppose we'll ever hear from him again.
