Mis-spaces plate

Come on OP, post it up. You seem a good sport. Have seen some ste plates before, how bad can this “crime” be?
Are you mad? Do you know what could happen if I posted a picture of my plate? Criminal masterminds would clone it and use it in their organised crime syndicate, stealing 15 year old CR-Vs to order for the insatiable middle eastern market - they like their luxury motors out there. On second thoughts, here you go. I know it's hooky and I'll take it on the chin, but I see a lot worse every day.

Congratulations OP you now have the very dubious award of being a fully paid up member on the CR124PPY Chavplate thread.
Not the worst plate I have seen, perhaps the cop had a bad day? Most times it's a warning, a chance to get the plate put back toR28 OLD, and avoid the 6 points penalty for Chav Plates introduced by Priti Patel earlier this month

Really? I hadn't heard about that - I've had a completely clean license for 30+ years, I'll be properly miffed if I get 6 points for a chavplate.R28 OLD, and avoid the 6 points penalty for Chav Plates introduced by Priti Patel earlier this month rolleyes
I actually put the properly spaced, BS-AU marked plates on for the MOT several months ago and decided they looked better, so I left them on. Trouble was I had only stuck them on with double-sided tape and they fell off after a while.
I used to have deliberately incorrectly spaced plates - X0XX X rather than X0 XXX. Got pulled over once, the officer didn't really care, just told me to get them sorted. I had the correctly spaced plates in the car so applied those, he went off happy.
I still have the same plate but I've bought a few similar plates too. I recently ordered a batch of plates to replace all of them to look similar. For whatever reason the multiple plate order form deleted the spaces (that I'd put in the correct places), so I ended up with X0XXX plates all-round.
Each car has passed at least 1 MOT and covered over 10k miles without an issue with the space-less plates. ANPR picks them up no problem, and I think as crimes go, having no spaces in your plates is pretty much bottom of the list.

People with dodgy plates often seem to say this.Plates are supposed to be clearly readable, and memorable, for humans, too.
Fannying about with them to make letters out of numbers, etc, just makes that more difficult.
As for the 'tards with tinted plates... well, I have no words.

Agreed, if you had a plate of YF17MLO and you added dots and space to make it look like YE3 TM I O then that's just stupid. However a simple lack of spacing - I've seen it on a few cars even without personalised plates.Plates are supposed to be clearly readable, and memorable, for humans, too.

As an example, here's the heinous crime I'm committing on my daily drive R-class.
SecondBest, you'll be joining me in the CR4PPY thread if you're not careful!
I was relieved to see this bloke had a compliant plate, and therefore his vehicle is fully roadworthy, even if he was driving in bare feet...

I have a mis spaced plate
It's also tinted.
I drive a white bmw that is "slammed" as many oldies would call it.
I love it :-)
I recently received a 100 quid fine for my tinted plates.
The officer said it was very dark (it's not) and had to take several photos as he couldn't get it to appear dark enough :-)
Both my cars have tinted plates and this is only time I've had issues in 5 countries in 4 years.
I just took it on the chin and as it just so happens I also was getting 100 a day in fuel expenses also... :-)
Number plate fines are non endorable so only the fine.
That fits the profile. It's also tinted.

In all seriousness:
A - A VDRS where you have 14 days to get a proper legal plate fitted, form signed and stamped by MOT station and post back to police
B - £100 fine (No points)
C - £100 fine + Referall to DVLA to have the private plate revoked - Usually used in those circumstances where they've had multiple fines and still commit the offence. Think rich super car owners.

I'm not going to have a go. I'm just curious as to why you'd want a plate that says you're old!On second thoughts, here you go. I know it's hooky and I'll take it on the chin, but I see a lot worse every day.
