hopefully for the OP, it’s all her fault, as indeed, it should be
Exactly, those three little words are so very important when changing position and they are to be done in sequence and not all at the same time which is becoming all too commonMirror

Yep, checking the blindspot is known as a 'lifesaver' in bike training and for good reason. You'll rarely see a biker move to another position on the road without performing one; a healthy habit to develop car or bike.
I had a similar scenario to the OP years ago, overtaking a line of traffic behind a tractor when the tractor decided to turn right. I managed to somehow avoid the tractor, half take the corner and, by the grace of god, drive straight into the entrance to a field. Very wary of overtaking more than one car at a time now!
Good luck with the outcome.

mirror to see why the person behind you is upset
Signal (usually a finger out the wondow)
Didn’t think it would go away that easily.
I put my car in for a repair quote with BMW. New M5 front wing and a wheel refurb + new tyre where my car was sideswiped rapidly turned into several thousand pounds and my excess is £1000.... so I let their claims management team pick it up, they obtained an admission of fault from the third party and went off and had the work done.
Now the third party insurer is trying to put me at fault for this no doubt so they can share the cost with my own insurer 50/50.
Presumably all the crap I signed from the claims management co makes me liable for their fees if it doesn’t get settled.... fun and games...

My brother had this happen when he was on his motorbike. Same scenario, he was overtaking slow moving traffic and a female driver had the same idea and pulled out on him causing him to crash. It went to court and he was found at fault although he thinks the copper who attended knew the woman who pulled out and that he was stitched up.
Why is it when people lose a court case, they think that there is some kind of conspiracy against them??? They lost plain and simple. The Judge decided thy they were at fault. The Judge preferred their evidence of the other person. Nothing more, nothing less. What evidence did your brother have that the police officer knew the third party? How do you think the Police officer, as a witness, influenced the Judge’s decision?
