personally I would simply ask a few 'acquaintances' to arrange the rearranging of his features. that's only if i'd already tried and failed at doing it myself. don't stand for it, never let yourself get intimidated by it, stand up for yourself any way you can

He seems to surround himself with things to make him look bigger than he is,rotweiller, guns for shooting rabbits,Bowie knife and various other weapons.Yeah i could have retaliated myself but how could i leave my partner in this situation if i was locked up,i couldn't handle prison 'and' worrying about her upstairs from the git(since he hits women with iron bars as well). The only option i see just now is taking it out on the council,i made them aware(as if they werent aware already)that he was an idiot in the previous town he was in and he had to leave.I remember his wife was a drug dealer,he told me people were after him when he first moved in but he was 'ready for them',pity that hasn't happened so far, save me the bother :-)

You just answered your own question rumpelstilskin!

Let the police know you have been beaten up and threatened with a firearm, they may be interested in that one.

They should come round and search his house and who knows what they may find!

Do it anonymously from a payphone if you like, just tell them his name and that you have seen him brandishing what he claims to be a real gun.

Yup, there mere mention of a gun will work.

My uncle once threatened someone, said he'd rip off their head and shit down the stump, then after the other guy carried on being a prick my uncle said he'd shoot him.

This was over the phone.

Within 5 mins, police dogs and gun men were at the front gate and took him away, checked his car, house where he was staying.
He even had a storage place at my mums for work (tools and drills and all that), and cops at 3am came round to search for about 2 hours looking for a gun.

I said, hey, there are 90 acres out there he walks his dog on, he could have buried a gun out there!

Honestly, mention you saw him flash what you thought was a gun at you, and he said "your next" or something like that and say you fear for your life.

Either way the Plod will give him a fright and hopefully if he resists arrest with that lump of wood/gun/knife he has then they'll give him a nice bullet hole too.

Seriously sorry for you in such a situation. You shouldn't have to move.
The guy is clearly known about, and the authorities just bung him near you and make your life a misery and expect you to just put up with it?! Nobbers. Get it sorted yourself, I bloody would. Even CCTV onto your grounds, get enough evidence and do the plods job for em, and get him banged up.

Do you not have any REALLY good mates who have friends? My school mates mum had a stalker once who got violent with her, as usual proper Plod did nothing. They had an old police man friend who suggested a "contact" who then went and broke his legs for a fairly reasonable sum. Did the job.

Its alright for all you lot saying chib him, knowing my luck if i was to post,oh yeah,i'll get that organised, some plod or other on this site will go,mmm,i'll just get his IP address and take it from there lol, would just be my luck.Just as a matter of interest i have come across someone,a friend of a friend.Im just naturally getting offers like this from loads of people who are really getting annoyed, probably as much as me through this situation.I'm sure even the police would love someone like him out of the way.sure if it was only him i had to deal with i would have done something about him,its just i have loads of his,"friends"across the road and elsewhere to deal with.I think i would then get into a situation that would just spiral out of control,i have my girlfriend to think of as well here, its taking its toll on her as well(he's going to do things to her cats/dog etc) .I've just found out he's of Ukranian extraction,he's been hitting people with iron bars all his life by the sound of things, even at the primary school believe it or not!Anyone want a house swap! lol, maybe i'll get on that Houseswap thing on the tv and just stay there, not give them their house back :-)

Yeah I know what you mean. It's so easy to spiral out of control with neighbours, and a violent spiral won't be a nice place to be.

I'd try police, council, local mp, just try get him moved.

Ideally, knowing what he is like, he should be moved every six months so he can't make people near him suffer for longer than that.

Moving is a viable option, but why should a hard working person of good nature have to displace themselves because of a violent yob?

Guess all you can really do is move, just such a shame that society forces you to move, even the police will do nothing anymore it seems. They are on the side of the criminal!

I would have thought letting the police nab him in the first place should have helped, especially with getting him moved away by the council.

Failing that, report him for driving at 36 in a 30 zone, far more serious crime and he would be in court before he knew it...

If you had reported that assault to me with injuries like you describe Rumpel, then wether you liked it or not, I'd have lifted him and had him charged.

That's fair enough but the bloke will be out before you know it and back up to his old tricks, your advice is correct imo but the law just doesn't protect to the level it should and can antogonise[sp] the situation rather than aid it.

Nope not at all. It looks like something has to be done, whether that's reporting it, dealing with the scummer or moving, I'd report it I reckon but be prepared for when the tw@ is released a day later.

I disagree! He'd have had bail conditions not to interfere with Rumpel directly or indirectly (through his friends etc) and if he broke those conditions he'd have been nicked again straight away, break those conditions enough times and he'll soon get remanded in custody straight to court then conviction.

You'd be suprised how effective that process would be to get him off Rumpels back

Trust me, the only way to deal with people like that is with the law, all this macho "get someone to sort him out" business is just fantasy land - some people have been watching too many films

Possibly but the bloke sounds a right nutter so I'd be surprised if he'd worry about bail conditions. Like I say, I agree that it is the correct action to take.

Bloke across the way from me was causing a bit of a comotion a year or so back, a police negotiator finally managed to talk him out the house with the agreement that neither side would attack the other, the bloke came out and 10 7ft cops all jumped on top of him, the funniest thing I'd seen in ages.

Police deal with people like that and worse every day - he would soon learn to leave our Pher alone if dealt with properly

Forgive me but that's a load of bollox, three years on, and I'm still waiting for the police to deal with a guy just like this 'appropriately' bail conditions are a waste of time.

I don't know your full story but if he's on bail and he breaks those conditions he gets nicked full stop

With out going into details, on the four occasions bail conditions have been broken, he has been sent on his merry way, following a quiet chat, despite independant witnesses and CCTV footage.

Been waiting for your views on this mungo. Also interesting and very important that you have clearly stressed the bail conditions that can be applied to this minger.
Rumpel you should consider this as they can be very explicit and prevent him from returning to his home address or contacting you or others.
Hope you are feeling bit better today and how long before the knee is fit?

Not too sure about the knee, the crutches are causing me back pain lol.I have to see another specialist about the knee,it was unbelievably swollen, made it hard to diagnose properly, but the fact i couldn't raise my leg at all when lying flat on a bed made them suspect the worse, fractured! The ligaments are jiggered too seemingly. Can't straighten right arm at all too, elbow swollen so much.I agree with the previous post that this idiot isn't going to abide by bail conditions, were talking about a guy here who hits women on the head in broad daylight with iron bars,me on a sunny day at 4.30pm in a highly populated area,do you think bail is going to play on his conscience?,i have a sneaky feeling i've done the right thing, but, wait till im better,i'll sort something out, well him out. Thanks for all the replies!

Have to disagree with you about the minger and bail conditions. He is violent but haven't you sussed he goes for 'easy' targets (not personel) like women and people he knows that won't 'risk' having him brought to justice.
He preys, taunts and targets these types. It's his m.o. He uses 'fear' and violence on people he knows won't or can't retaliate.
Challenge him and he will fall apart quickly. He doesn't want to do 'time' so he will soon oblige to bail conditions and move on.
Your injuries sound extremely painful and mobility very limited. Hence, understandable decision and action taking is difficult. Get some decent pain relief and rest etc. Hope partner ok
