I'll echo that, he needs props, weapons, macho dogs, support from his cronies and picks on women and 'normal' people who wouldn't retaliate, he's a coward as are most bullies.
I have a genuine basket case at the end of my road, he will and has picked a fight with a gang of people, stabbed himself in the stomach to make a point, your man doesn't sound like that

even the police will do nothing anymore it seems. They are on the side of the criminal!

Rubbish!

It would be more accurate to say they have a flexible definition of who the criminal is.

There certainly is some truth in the Police siding with the downside of society against the upside. Linda Walker and the poor sod who brandished the toy gun at the local thugs spring to mind.

What bothers me about these is the Police willingness - if not desperation - to believe these thugs claims about being terrified.

I'll say it again, with the injuries you say you sustained rumpel, he should have been arrested by police no question.

The reason people like him get away with things like you have described is because people are too scared too ask the police to take action for fear of retribution. Then these people think they can get away with it again as nothing happened last time.

If you had reported that assault to me with injuries like you describe Rumpel, then wether you liked it or not, I'd have lifted him and had him charged.

My brother-in-law Edward was attacked with a drill by a 14 year old and a 17 year old (not the sharp end, as a blunt object). There was no doubt they did it.

The Police repeatedly pressed him to drop the matter, which he did (against my advice).

Just an update, one day my partner passed by the cretin downstairs and he was talking loudly so she would hear as she passed by,he had just built a bird table and he was heard to say,"none of those 'F*ing cats better not come near the birds"they never did.3 o'clock this morning i heard one of our cats being violently sick(it was perfectly healthy yesterday)and making a really strange howling noise while it was being sick, eventually it then went into spasms and died! This pillock below me being the big hunter gatherer shoots rabbits, crows basically anything that moves and would probably have as many poisons in his possession.I'm getting the SSPCA round today to pick the cat up for a post mortem.Just to be sure nothings gone on.

May be worth setting up cameras - discretely at windows where they are not visible ot he's probably try and break the windows. Found some gear here....

A more serious system

www.henrys.co.uk/cctv/multicam.htm

My mate from work's moved into a new house - nice area - had some windows fitted and the bloke from next door came round demanding £50 as 'the vibrations from the drill had broken his boiler'. Of course he said no and the bloke went and kicked his wife's car door in! Mate rang the police and the neighbour got done for criminal damage (Leicester).

Having said that another mate had an antisocial family move in over the road and the police (Nottingham) were nowhere near as helpful - he had a year of vandalism to his property - other neighbours were intimidated as well.

Rumple - you must sort it - I'd favour sticking to the legal route as much as possible unless you know some 'proper people'. Keep a diary, photographic and video evidence. He's got a history of this. Are there any other neighbours suffering? You may be surprised. And hassle the police but make sure they are aware of the potential ramifications that may happen to you if they take action.

The thins i was saying earlier about all this spiralling is because it's not just this guy downstairs i have to deal with, one of the biggest crooks/drug dealers from this area stays across the road. This prat downstairs is such a mug he runs this guy across the road anywhere he wants, basically to crawl up his ass as this guy across the road is known by everyone around here, and is a handy person to know, even the police fear him. This morning the guy across the road was downstairs and i heard him say "if this c*nt(me upstairs)gets any of his buddies onto you just give me a phone,i'll sort him out".The guy across the road i've known for a long time and he knows all the best people for this sort of stuff. This is why i have to be so careful what i do,i'm not just dealing with one person!

Stop fing about Rumple, you need to sort this NOW. Sorry mate, it sounds just unbearable for you, and now he's "alledgedly" hurting animals, I think you need to do whatever is necessary to get rid of this total and utter inhumane fing bully piece of sh*t right now. Move all your stuff out, book into a Travelodge, get large pieces of wood and blockade him in with big nails and torch the ct.

Practically though, do use all the correct channels and get as much help from the BiB as is possible, that was just me getting angry and revengful, I admire how much you appear to have resisted the bull+chinahop approach, but do please, try your very best to be the one laughing at his suffering at the end of this.

And how can the BIB prevent these retributions, which are virtualy certain to happen? It all very well saying that one this scum has broken his bail conditions enough times that he will land in court, but thats essentialy saying "put up with living in fear and getting the occaisional beating for some unspecified amount of time and then the law may be able to help"

A guy assaulted me a couple of years ago when I stepped in as he was about to attack someone and threatened to come back with a gun and shoot people if I did anything about it.

We tackled him and had him arrested. At his home the police found a loaded shotgun under his bed, and a rifle with telescopic sights and 217 rounds of ammo in the cupboard.

He got three years for the firearms charges, and 18 months for the GBH against me, served concurrently.

He gets out of prison in about a months time.

I had the probation officer round this morning discussing his release with me. Basically, they haven't done the psych report on him yet so we're all guessing what sort of state of mind he's in and what he might or might not try to do. His card is marked as far as I'm concerned though and I'll take whatever action is necessary to deal with any threat he poses to me, my missus or my friends.

Don't let s like this intimidate you. Make a statement. Get him arrested. He has the previous and you have the injuries. Don't worry about the piece of shit over the road. If he's dealing drugs he'll keep his head down. If they let him out on bail and he threatens you. Have him arrested again.

Stand up to the scum and they'll eventually learn that we are not going to let them turn our neighborhoods into mobster run ghettos. Do it for yourself, do it for the girl he whacked on the head, and do it as an example to the other would be gangsters out there. The Wankers.

Don't forget to get the crime number off the cops and make a claim for your injuries to the CICA.

Good luck and keep us informed. You have a lot of people behind you and if we have to hold a mad PH'ers party in his house and turn him upside down, I'm sure those who can will step forward when the time comes. I'm up for it.

The CICA will not consider it unless you get a crime number and follow it through. Go for it, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. If you do nothing, they'll continue to intimidate you. If you have him arrested, they'll bluster, but won't risk getting themselves into further trouble. If you get a conviction, it's jackpot time with the CICA and a chance to move to a better area, or buy a newer bike, or a big truck you can park on top of his Jeep .

GO FOR IT.

Mungo its not that i'm easily intimidated,i've kicked the hell out of two guys that were robbing a Down Syndrome guy i know, stealing his wallet, when i have to take action,i usually do.The reason i maybe seem to sound like im dithering or not doing anything is i'm dealing with a huge spreading chain of people here,i have to really think what im doing before i do it!Which is why i've come on here!I can hedge a bet here that if i get the police to his door, the guy across the road will immediately take some action against me as i've taken away his 'new best buddy' and his taxi everywhere. He doesn't deal with drugs anymore the guy across the road, his main big thing was stealing motorcycles. This guy across the road is so unstable he made a roundabout threat to me through someone else because, are you ready for this,he thought i ignored him one day lol

Mungo, In principle your ideas are sound but from what I have read of this, this guy is one of these blokes who has nothing of any worth and nothing to lose. I suspect the BiB are probably frightened of him and his mate across the road and will be very reluctant to do anything until he has committed murder and it seems rumplestiltskin or family will be on the receiving end, then it's all too late. I would think there are two options, 1: have these guys dealt with the only way they understand but that looks like it may be a, very expensive and b, asking for trouble from the BiB (rumple...will be the easier target for a nick.
Option 2: Move. I would go for this one then get them sorted out when I am a long ways away.
r.stiltskin, is there any way you could go to the council and use some form of race card in order to get yourself moved.
If Lurch and his buddies are white then is there any way you could say you are ethnic by means of your name (lots of us have foriegn sirnames)or anything. Councils will normally cack thereselves if there is likely to be any hint of a racist problem.

Initiating a move away from the area might not be the best short-term action. Once your neighbourly chums get wind of this then doubtless they'll up the ante. Based on what you've said, I strongly believe the police offer the best way forward.

I bet he won't. Sounds like he's a gobshite to me. But anyway, if he give you any verbals, just point your digital camera at him and say, "Fancy a trip to the nick yourself do you? This thing records voices too."
Threats and intimidation are taken seriously by the cops, and they can charge him with assault for it.

Take no crap from these w*nkers. They'll fold up and off once it's clear you are going to stand up to them.
