Has anyone in the 30-50 age range taken a vaccine if they are in good health?
My son is in his mid thirties and received a text message in his phone asking to make an appointment. We are a little confused as he is in good health.
That doesn't stop him from contracting Covid though or passing it on.My son is in his mid thirties and received a text message in his phone asking to make an appointment. We are a little confused as he is in good health.
Good health and being vaccinated are not mutually exclusive.

Latest podcast from Dr. Mike Yeadon. Nice to listen to some common sense rather than the usual nonsense on the news etc.

I’ve been listening to Mike Yeadon for the last few months at least and he does seem to talk sense. Of course there are some areas which I have to question as we all do

Ideally we will hold off on any vaccine until the dust settles rather than rush into it. If either of us were back in the city then we’d possibly have a different approach.

Sorry no it’s not a wind up. We are healthy and work relatively solitary lives on the farm.

The dust settles? What dust?Ideally we will hold off on any vaccine until the dust settles rather than rush into it. If either of us were back in the city then we’d possibly have a different approach.
I'm 35, been given both jabs, Pfizer. He will be given a choice of Pfizer or Maderna instead of O Az.

In your professional opinion, when is it no longer "a rush"?Ideally we will hold off on any vaccine until the dust settles rather than rush into it. If either of us were back in the city then we’d possibly have a different approach.

I am seriously gobsmacked. They walk amongst us.What has being "healthy" got to do with it? In your "opinion", being healthy means you cannot catch COVID?
It beggars belief.
Ideally immunity tests would be the preferred option rather than skipping immediately to a vaccine, in his case.

This is the wrong thread.
However, there is a very good reason that all of the independent Chief Medical Officers / Scientific Officers etc are strongly recommending that everyone eligible gets their jab and it is not just about the individual, it's about reducing community transmission.

I consider myself healthy. One jab, I won't be going back for another. Ideally we will hold off on any vaccine until the dust settles rather than rush into it. If either of us were back in the city then we’d possibly have a different approach.
I've gone 11months with no covid having mixed with many people with no masks etc. That's my only personal opinion. I'm wiped out, waiting for bloods back to confirm what. If its anything else.
Saying this, you work in farming surely you are more worried about pesticides?!

It doesn’t mean he won’t catch it. Of course there’s a chance he’ll catch it and he may have even had it over the lead up to Christmas however he would most like have a stronger immune system than some and it’s only natural to maintain that rather than introduce a vaccine into the body.
