Does seem madness given the amount or rain and water about this pm.
I'm surprised you could stop without aquaplaning a couple of miles.
Meh

Years ago, I knew someone who claimed to Dtive from.Anglesea to Runcorn in a mk2 cavalier cdi auto in 50 mins, at 5am on a dry summer morning
Says he went over the Brittannia bridge at an indicated 100, never dropped below 80 apart from the 2 roundabouts, and saw ammindicated 136 on a downhill stretch towards Llanfairfechen.
I called bullst, but his clock in showed 3 mins to 6. And he wasnt supposed to start until 8.

Why would someone of previously good character drive like that? I have ridden motorbikes at silly speeds in the past but still only where (you at least think you can) see potential hazards. Going in the wrong side near past that crossing etc is mentalness esp at that speed
Because 'previous good character' just means not been caught before.
At what age can one no longer use the 'promising footballer' defence?

Meh indeed. 113mph on a motorway is not even worth mentioning.

Should be fined for driving a Chrysler 300C though. Badly modified as well. I see some cheap eBay light tinting spray on those lights!

Not fined. Killed. Preferably by torture. On live TV. I hope that seems fair and reasonable.

I agree entirely.

Perhaps HM Prison Service could make it Pay Per View to generate a little bit of income.

Even owning a non-modified version of that should be punishable by having to crawl through fire on hedgehog skin kneepads to lick the sweat from the anal passage of Christopher Biggins

Still, that's just my sick fantasy, you find your own. I'm off to look for Chryslers for sale.

On the other hand the picture does not show heavy rain or awful visibility. Wet yes, and 113 mph unwise but not as ridiculous as made out.

It was more fun back in the day, when you used to get coded messages such as "bachelor", "scout master" and "Nightclub hostess" in the local crime and mayhem reports.
The police in press releases and journalists use this code. They mostly relate to drink, drugs sex. Some I recall include:

Colourful local character.
Usually a gay man.

Popular.
Promiscuous, usually relating to a woman.

Well known (In the area)
A cover all term for a wrong 'un.

Unconventional lifestyle.
Drunk and probably on the game.

Well known local family.
The local crime family.

Lived life to the full.
Drunk, promiscuous wrong 'un.

A wide circle of friends.
See Lived life to the full.

Close-knit Community.
Scummy don't trust the police sink estate.

I'm all for reasonably ignoring speed restrictions where safe to do so but that sort of speed in a 30, the guys needs to be locked up.
I can think of plenty of 30's where it would be "safe"[1] to do that kind of speed (ie where the speed limit is a joke driven by noise or location rather than road suitability).

That wasn't one of them.

[1] Where obviously >100 isn't "safe" but with no drives, turnings and plenty of visibility etc.

But near enough. The A55 is a two lane continuation of the M53 and is really of motorway standard, except its in Wales!

Just a motoring enthusiast enjoying his car
Speed limit is too low for that road
The overtake looked fine to me, the guy in the camera car should pay more attention and use his mirrors
Mumsnet is that way --->
Modern cars are easily capable of reaching that speed without you realising it
Anymore of the usual chestnuts ?
