You mean

"To what end? What does he actually achieve?"

What does AB achieve? Well I think one thing he proves is that Police/Security don't understand the law around photography and are unfairly (or unlawfully) stopping people doing photography.
That's not an achievement, that's just pointing something out. Can he prove he has driven any change in policy or increase in training, for instance? It doesn't seem like that's what he wants to do, he just seems to like holding people up to ridicule and wasting people's time.

I have a bit of free time tonight, perhaps I'll go and hand around a Covid test site and make a nuisance out of myself and put it in YouTube.

Back on planet earth, I'd rather shove wasps up my arse.
Interesting fact, they don't tell you anything about the fact that these sites are no filming when booking, why not do that and screen the fencing with blackout.

Yet they put signs up and the site on staff act like they are trying to break the enigma code, so you can't film!

Try rocking up in a works vehicle with a fixed and lock dash cam and watch these clowns get very upset!

The site I went to was all masks no windows (down when staff are by) but I have seen sites were staff don't wear masks and PPE and covid safety is not taken seriously.
I dont think that's particularly interesting

That would increase the cost and add complexity to appease a few FMOTL obsessives.

Perhaps the tax authorities should be finding out if youtube channels are monetised and properly observing the rules. And a few checks on various aspects of data management.

Kind of audit them.

These people are not FMOTL by the way - almost the opposite when you think about it as accept laws exist.

If you say so. They are a bloody good tribute act, then.

Wasting police time. Trying to purposely bait the police. Who seriously wants to take a picture/film of 1970s Solihull architecture? The bloke is blatantly just looking to create aggravation.

Given some of the crazy terrorist atrocities that have happened over the past few years what does the bloke really expect the reaction to be?

He should try out his childish hobby in the US, if he’s lucky he’d just get tasered.

Oh dear, Police (allegedly) deleting footage from a phone

Before some wker starts, I wasted a few hours yesterday watching videos about a guy who owns a waste company and the day before watching car wrapping videos. I never said I had an exciting life.

That Auditing Britain bloke is a proper wally.

I saw one he put up filming through the fence at MOD Kineton and the copper on site there came out to him. He politely asked him what he was doing and was very pleasant and tolerant... And yet the responses from the guy filming were so rude, cryptic and awkward.

He is a total clown and just goads people for views/subscribers.

The Auditing Britain guy tries to be annoying just enough to wind up (although I think there might be a language issue there).

The video I posted above, the guy generally says he is there to film police buildings and to record interactions with the Police - so bit harder to argue against that just 'matters of public interest'.

What is also interesting is when they say its normal normal to film the Police station/prison etc... I think it might be becoming normal.

It isn't normal. He's there to get a rise out of the police and he gets his rocks off doing it.

What is so interesting about police stations ? Trainspotting would be a better pastime for him. tt (him, not you).

Its obvious some do it to make money on youtube

but i presume the reason it started was because Police/security were stopping people legitimately filming and this was a way of demonstrating they were wrong.

The motoring equivalent would be to repeatedly cut someone up in a car without provocation, but only show the front cam footage when the victim gives the five bean shake as they beep and finally get past.

Both are deliberate attempts to portray a fake truth.

They do not have the power to do so. If it doesn't concern you that the Police may be be stretching or abusing their authority then this probably is not the thread for you.

Officers do not have the power to delete digital images or destroy film at any point during a search. Deletion or destruction may only take place following seizure if there is a lawful power (such as a court order) that permits such deletion or destruction.

We live in what is generally a free society, where any activity that isn't against the law is permitted. You might not want to do what Mr Audit does, I certainly don't, but as it's not illegal he is perfectly entitled to carry out his "childish hobby".

I know someone that does this "for a laugh" and thinks he's hilarious - Things like jumping off a bridge in to a river with wax strips attached to himself. That kind of thing.

The latest was filming with someone (who as it turns out is classed as vulnerable - and he was clearly being taken advantage of) who had a truncheon, or something, down his trousers outside an Ann Summers in Lincoln. The police came and had a word and "it was funny". Another was he was up a pylon, or something, and the police and police helicopter came to where he was and "chased him down" - he was "clever" in evading the police.

No, you're a moron. There was video evidence of him being somewhere he shouldn't, endangering himself and others but he was clever and clearly pretty pleased with himself.

Given that he has taken photos of his daughter giving the finger a lot (she's 12) and that she is sometimes involved in these idiotic videos, it's a wonder the police hasn't paid a visit. (His daughter is a "darling" too and has been "misunderstood" by the local school in the past too).

He has challenged the police before because he "knows his rights", but how he hasn't fallen down a flight of stairs during conversations is beyond me.

(I know him as he is a friend of a number of friends and while some think he's funny, the majority think he's a weapons grade dhead)

Yeah the problem is it only take a mall number of tossers pushing the boundaries of acceptable behavior and then there could be some new laws drawn up to deal with this that infringe on the liberty of a huge number of people enjoying a perfectly acceptable hobby.
We start off with freedom and every time you get a tosser, that freedon is eroded.
Just think if you hadn't had idiots test driving sports cars on the M1 in the 60's or whatever, you may not have speed restrictions as we know it now

It doesn't concern me that something trivial and unimportant has happened. You appear to be trying to make out this is some sort of tip of the iceberg situation. It's not.
