Idiots. Why did they go from zero to assaulting him in a matter of seconds?

Scary policing. And that's in front of the camera.

I couldn’t see a thread specifically about these auditors, this being the closest, but some are in court after abusing the staff at the local covid test centre.

https://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/19068741.poppleto...

I’ve not actually watched the video as I’m working but this is it, the comments are critical of his behaviour

I searched his name in Facebook, I won’t link due to posting rules but it’s clear he’s a chavvy bellend with nothing better to do.

Unbelievable waste of resources. Antagonistic, aggressive and provoking people for absolutely no reason. Infuriating.

Part of me wants to watch that video, another (bigger) part doesn't... because I know it'll just enrage me to the point of distraction, and to top it off I'll probably start getting more fruitloop videos recommended to me.

Saw a news article yesterday about frontline doctors getting abusive messages on Twitter from COVID conspiracy nutters and it took some time to calm down afterwards.

Hmm. What to play ?

Don't stand so close to me - The Police.
I fought the law (and the law won) - The Clash.
I'm a loser - The Beatles.

As soon as they did this, he must have spaffed his pants at view count and court action. Idiots falling for it every time.
as much as i think the bloke filming is a tt the sweary officer isn't fit to be in the job. looking at the follow up video i wonder do the police do regular drug tests for things like steroids ? this is the first video of this type i have seen that shows an officer in a really bad light. the only time i see them is links on here and most tend to show an understandable reaction in frustration to the tttish behaviour of the person doing the filming.

I got board after about 4 minutes but my initial thoughts are the chap filming is a bit of a prick and only trying to provoke a response.
If he got a response he didn’t like later in the video then perhaps he just got what he asked for?

What normal person would even do st like that rolleyes

Doesnt matter, the Police response should be correct, proportionate and appropriate

Many moons ago I was part of a serial policing a football match. For reasons too boring to go into, we ended up confronting a mob of spectators after the game in a car park, which they were not allowed to leave ( To prevent a riot with opposing spectators).
They were within 2 feet or so of us, for about 20 minutes. Obviously they were chanting and telling us how inadequate we were, that our sex lives were predominantly solitary, and generally doing what football yobs do.

One man in particular had spent some time telling me at the top of his voice how useless I was, and that if he was in charge he would do things differently. He also paid my wages obviously.

I must admit I was a bit bored of this after a while, so I took my helmet of and offered it to him. I said 'do you want to wear this?'

'No I don't'

'Well fking shut up then'

It may not have been correct, or proportionate or even appropriate. It shut him up though. And got a laugh from those nearby.

And from the Chief Inspector who unbeknownst to me was standing behind me.

that's a great response in a pretty crappy situation. to be clear i have no problem with swearing in certain situations.in the reference to sweary officer above , the actual swearing had little to do with me forming an opinion on whether he was a fit and proper person to be a police officer. i bet there aren't many on here that would like him as a colleague no matter the job.
