Do they work both ways?

Well here goes:

Basically, last night I was overtaking a car on a duel carriageway road, although no central reservation. When I looked in his mirror, after I was passed the car, I noticed a camera van on the other side of the road. It was one of the ones with the Lasers out through the back windows.

The question is can I get done for going the other way? Could they get me or were they just after people coming towards them i.e from the 50 into the 40 limit? I have done a quick search and they only look as if they can get cars coming towards them.

What do you think?

Could be bad news.
My car was zapped from the opposite side of a motorway going away from a scamera van.

Are you 100% sure it was you driving and not another regular driver of your car........

Well there are three people insured on it.....

Couldn't remember who was driving when my car was zapped.......

Had to go to Mag's Court but CPS decided on the day to offer no evidence and it was dropped.

Commiserations. I flew one for 45 minutes out of Nottingham last year. The most incredible experience. First time aerobatics, 4+ 1-

There were 4 of them at Waddington Air Show yesterday.

Scamera vans can and do work both ways on the whim of the operator.

GATSOs, Truvelos & Monitrons can work either way or both ways but are usually set to work in one direction only (GATSOs and Monitrons from behind, Truvelos from in front). All AFAIK

Well the info I can gather from the net so far…

I was one of the ones with twin lasers out the back. These are usually tuned to one lane each, as it was a duel carriageway. It is possible that they moved one, or had one set up for the other direction, but it seems doubtful.

I guess I will wait and see, I don’t mind really as I was speeding, all be it overtaking.

The only other problem is that I am in Seattle for sometime and may not get the NIP back in time. Is this a problem if I cam prove I was out the country?
